So have recently rejoined the TGC Tour and have decided to start with The Beer League and move up when I feel more equipped to.
Just played my 1st two rounds on the The Beer League in the Old Tom Morris Memorial and I am so far +24. Guess I definitely not equipped well enough yet lol.
Guessing the only way is up from here, off to get more practice as I need to make plenty of improvements with my swing technique lol

figure I'd just add to this post. First-ever tournament, second round, feeling like I'm picking things up even though I'm nowhere near the top, and I give up 5 shots in the last three holes on the greens. Ouch. Never putted without the meter or a % before.
Oh well, welcome to the league - only way to go is up.

playgroundhoo Welcome Jonathan and Good Luck. A fellow Xboxer too! Re putting... Very gently back until you feel the haptic and then forward quickly and all the way to the top as soon as you feel the haptic kick in. Well that's how I do it anyway. PS. Check out the Brew Crew society thread - lots of Beer Leaguers hang out there. Cheers, Kie.

I'd whine about the greens, but given how low a bunch of others shot, I just have to get better. Are you looking for more courses for future weeks? I'd enjoy seeing my most recent in a tournament, Carolina Queen, but only if you or whoever chooses is interested. I will not be offended if not. It's received pretty good feedback, with a couple comments that the greens can be challenging. I designed it that way and was a little concerned, but after playing yesterday and seeing the scores posted, I'd be very curious to see how that actually plays out. Anyway, just a thought, and no problem at all if not! It's fun to start playing when I've spent most of my free time in the designer so far. Good way to learn more, and I'll check out the Brew Crew, too.

playgroundhoo I just played a round on the Queen! Nice course - I enjoyed the challenge - a bit trickier than Walking Stick! I took your advice from the course intro and had some fun with the right hand bank on 12 and just missed out on a hole in one rolling back down. Great improvisation using waterfalls as waves! These were really visible from 14 and 15 - very clever. I managed +1 on Beer League settings - thanks for your work making the course. Look forward to your next one. In terms of scheduling etc, I don't have any involvement in that but I know that the Beer League scheduler is part of the Brew Crew. I don't play the Brew Crew rounds but I lurk on their pages and they are a good bunch of guys. Good luck.
