Thoroughly enjoyed my round on this course. Lots of elevation changes really made me think about club and shot placements, greens were fair, though I think the first par 3 on the back 9 (13 or 14 maybe) i hit to the left of the front right pin with no backspin and my ball totally bailed right (expected) and then off the green (not expected), not sure where I should've hit to get it to stick, but I still recovered for the par, so not complaining. The environment was absolutely stunning, multiple greens gave me amazing views of the surrounding holes and environment. I loved the shacks, and the boats with tents (fantastic mimic of a SE Asian style longboat with what is available in the course designer). Really just an all around great course, kudos to you, and enjoy all the positive feedback cuz its warranted.

This course is fantastic, such a joy to play. I would even go as far as to say it's the first truly excellent full fantasy course in 2K21. Thank you for all of the work you put into this course, keep up the good work.

This course is great. Played yesterday and shot -5 on master settings, but was very pleased with the challenge the course offered and the different options I had on various holes.
The only thing, I'm on an original Xbox One and I had some framerate issues so it was a bit glitchy at times, but there's nothing you can really do about that!

I'm jealous - ha ha - kidding, but really enjoyed it, and the creative juices that this community inspires are exactly what good platforms do.
So much better than being limited to a handful of good courses in the Tiger Woods and EA games. Those were fun in many ways, obviously.
And the technology has only evolved to this point in the last handful of years, but it's just a lot of fun to see courses like this and many others spring from the imaginations of such a dedicated group of people.

Great pics Eric. After getting the flyover pics for the database, I grabbed this one when playing and added it to the database. Just a slightly different perspective, that includes that awesome rickety bridge.

Wow! I haven't given the course a play but this is absolutely stunning visually. A very consistent theme and feel. From the video alone I feel like I'm "right there" and if I stepped foot off the golf course, I would still be in the same surroundings. Bravo. I'll come back when I've given it a play. 8.5.2

So I just finished up my round. Visually, the course lives up to its hype video. There's not a single hole that takes you out of it and makes you feel like you're anywhere else but rural Thailand. The planting is meticulous and careful and none of the vegetation feels out of place. The creative elements with the huts, boats, bridges, and rice paddies are all great touches and reveals a careful and thoughtful designer's eye. Visually, holes 10, 11, and 18 stood out most to me. 10 and 11 both play into the cascading waterfalls and you really do have to stand on the tee and take it all in to appreciate the attention to detail. I'm sure enough will be said about your visual design so the rest comes down to how it plays. I played from the Black tees, pin setting 3, Pro swing settings, and default conditions which gave me about 7-12 MPH winds throughout. Now, I'm not great at this game so perhaps any troubles I have are user error so as you always should, take any comments I make about certain shots or hole strategies with a grain of salt and consider the source. I've learned though my own course which features some dramatic elevation changes off of the tee box that you have to consider the newer player and provide them with some sort of out when they are confused as to what club to use when they have to consider clubbing down or up. I think you've given us plenty of room to bail out and the elevation changes don't drastically punish the player if they misread the wind or misjudge club selection. I think it's great because a player can learn during the round without becoming too discouraged along the way. I only really messed this up once by hitting my drive off the #1 tee out of bound right. However, because the hole is drivable, I was actually able to salvage a par. I only hit 61.54% FIR and 55.56 GIR with a 32.7' proximity to the hole. I ended up shooting a 66(-5) with 8 birdies and 3 bogies. My one-putt percentage was 61.11% so the greens are very friendly. That's not to say "easy", just "friendly". There was hole #14 which had the pin placed in an area of fast-moving, yellow/orange slope. Fortunately my approach was within two feet but any longer than that and the putt pin placement have been just on this side of punitive. I did end up in some bunkers a few times so your placement was reasonable and placed in such a way that the bunkers came into play and weren't just for show. I mentioned before the drivable par 4 opening hole. I don't know what the "professional" thought on this is so this next opinion is only my own personal preference but I prefer the first hole on my courses to not be drivable only because I think it sets the wrong precedence and tone for the course. If I'm not mistaken, (or maybe my skills just weren't where they need to be) I think hole 1 was the only drivable par 4? If it's the only drivable hole on the course, I like the to come after a particularly long three-shot par 5 or a tricky par 3 where the player may be coming off a bogey and sort of gets the chance at redemption on the next tee. Again, purely personal preference and after all that's said, I enjoyed the hole. A chance to grab a par on a par 4 after hitting it out of bound on the drive is itself a bit of redemption. I think it was hole 18 that had the green split by a pretty gnarly hill at the back-center. From the approach, maybe I didn't take my time to actually see what was going on at the green but if you put yourself on the wrong side of that hill (as I did, naturally), say bye, bye birdie. Now, it's the finishing hole and it's a Par 4 so it's needs to be tough so I'm certainly not saying it's unfair, just pointing out that it was a surprise when I got to the green and realized I had to putt up and down Mt. Everest (only a slight exaggeration). Obviously, as with most great created courses, the visuals play off of the golf and the golf plays off the visuals. You can't have a memorable course without both. I think Chiang Mai checks both boxes with plenty to offer in either category. I'll definitely be coming back with my buddies to try and attack this course again. Thank you for all of your time and effort. It certainly was not wasted. 8.5.2

Having travelled to Chiang Mai and playing courses such as Royal Chiang Mai, Alpine, Highlands and Gassan !%$#an this rendition would fit right into these. The layout is spectacular and a feast for the eyes without detracting from the actual golfing experience.
Looking forward to checking out some of your other courses.

Just played it again, black tees, pin 2. There are some tricky putts. Shot 70 (-1) after trying to drive the green on the first, catching the front right corner and down into the OB. My new wallpaper...

Chiang Mai is an artistic masterpiece and a lot of fun to play! Congratulations on a great job. Can you please tell us how much time went into this?

jayraygun Thanks heaps for taking the time to share all that feedback. I get what you mean about the opener. I know that if I went for the green in a round that mattered and hit it OB on my first shot, I'd be pretty keen to just quit. But that's risk/reward at it's finest IMO. It's a very easy hole played safely so I'm comfortable enough with that. Not something I'd do often but I really just wanted that first tee shot sightline to stretch across the whole plot and this hole mostly enabled that. Glad you enjoyed your round and thanks again. sandgroper - That's great feedback thanks - nice wallpaper supergolfdude - I'm not sure how long it took but I worked on it just about every night for about 6 weeks roughly. So maybe around 120-150 hours or so (?) Honestly have no idea. I normally just watch streams or stick some music on so the time goes pretty quick.
