I do know that are difficult but in the game I sometimes have to aim a foot left on 3 foot putts where as you basically never see a pro do that irl. I think while most of our greens are realistic some of them are definitely on the unrealistic side.

Sometimes, to me, it feels more like there is an obscene amount of gravity being placed on the ball immediately after it comes off the putter. It may be more of a programming issue than a course issue. One more pic.... think it has red lines?

so then if people have a problem with Fire Rock...what are they going to think next week playing Magnolia with those greens? Magnolia has more red lines and tricky pins than fire rock does. Are people not going to complain about that course since it is a replica of augusta?
I dont get all the whining. the courses we have been playing have been too easy on this tour with the exception of last weeks trampoline greens. the putts were too easy and a little on the flatish side for most of those courses hence the -50 to -70 scores. I think the greens at fire rock are realistic it is just the physics of the game that make them unfair...Sort of like at Valero where a 4 iron lofted two lines stopped better than a stock 6 iron even though they fly the same distance.
I see no problem with Fire Rock personally...even the 1st and 8th holes.

I've noticed the ball shooting to the side instead of curving there.

I think the putts had plenty of break in them but the reason you saw such low scores are due almost entirely to the fact that you could land the ball within 5 feet on every flag with the medium firmness. Outside 5 feet and you were looking at dropping a stroke compared to the field. Unfortunately I'm not home for the next day or so but I'm sure if you looked at the putts percentage made outside 10 or 15 feet in the leaderboard menu for the previous weeks events it wouldn't be that high. As for magnolia, yes there is hard slopes but I think they are in more realistic spots and aren't as close to the pins as they were at fire rock.

You can actually go back and see those stats for the tournaments? I tried on the PS4 going back to the week 11 tournament as I wouldnt dare count Valero's stats as not enough people hit greens probably lol, but i was not sure how to view the tournament stats. I think the softer greens does help but i still dont think the greens broke enough thats just my opinion though

At least after a round you can. Just hit RB or whatever button it is for you to switch from friends scores to best overall and just keep hitting it. You'll find the right category.

So happy we continue to use this countryside theme. Fps just cost me a shot at the masters. Playing the best I've played since I got this game. 3 straight top 30s.
Played fire rock round 1 at 9pm. Finished 2nd on xb1. Played round 2, same exact wind conditions. Round 2 fps killed me. Couldn't swing one time from tee to green without a double take or a less than 100% shot. Total inconsistent garbage.
Been working my ass off to get back in the top 90 and now this bs.
About done with this crap

Apologies for my previ statement made. Was very aggravated at the condition I was in with round 2. Last thing I want to be known as is a complainer. The themes are what they are and I know I'm not the only one that experiences issues within the game.
Therefore, you won't hear any negativity out of me about themes and selected courses.

I liked the original a lot but do not like the changes Pretty much if Steve likes a course I don't so not surprised I certainly appreciate his condescending tone if someone disagrees with his preferences too. If Sally plays greens that play like real ones then I'll join her group If this is the way things are gonna go that's disappointing. These courses were fine on their own... Bison was one of the top 2 or 3 courses in the game before the sprinklers were turned off and it just became a bouncefest (and I say that finishing better than I ever have at a tie for 10th). This was a spectacular routing which has been turned into an exercise in putting cups on slopes... it's too bad protecting low scores is coming to these changes.

Great course. Loved the challenge this week. Greens much more receptive than previous tournament, still very fast and very dangerous! Only hole I really didn't care for, well it really was't even the hole, but rather one tree....#16. Where in the world are you supposed to hit that tee shot? I had some interesting approach shots to that green. That tree needs to go. It obstructs the whole FW landing area. You can't go around it, and I'm pretty sure you can't go over it even if you have 20mph behind ya. Oh well, it doesn't prevent this course from being an enjoyable challenge.
Oh and TGCT, don't think the clever course selection went unnoticed this week. Shell open? Fire Rock? I saw the logo on #3...I see what you did there....
