Sinking trees in 2k21.
Anyone having trouble sinking trees in the new game. I press page down on my keyboard but there the trees don’t move.

It appears the raise/lower function on the keyboard doesn’t work. Also true for water. I had to use my controller to raise/lower water and all objects, including trees.

Ah. Ok. Hopefully they fix this. Seems like this issue is already posted on HB.
Thanks.

Until they fix it (or if they don’t fix it), try holding shift and scrolling down. That seemed to work fine for me.

I found out that 'E' lowers the way Page Down used to, and 'Q' appears to raise it, but 'Q' is also mapped to the Spline Plant feature, so it will raise it slightly, but then jump into the spline planter. So sinking works, raising not so much other than Shift + scroll.

Ha. Thanks Brian. I’ll give that a try. Seems like a bug they should fix. Scroll raise/lower is painfully slow.

For what it’s worth: buy and use an Xbox controller time design. It was never intended for mouse and keyboard and you just don’t have the ability to place and move the camera like you should.
The “we didn’t test all of the designer features with keyboard” is just another small reason to use controller like they intend.

Yeah I’ve just got one. Great for playing. But I’ve been designing with mouse and keyboard for 5 years. It’ll take a while to adapt!

Having just switched to mouse / keyboard from controller, this bug is the only thing I'd ever move back for. Being able to place the camera and keep it exactly where you want it to be is a huge plus, not to mention being able to manipulate all sorts of brushes while on the move. Some planting things are no tougher on controller imho, but for sculpting and surfacing it's mouse all day to me. Keep in mind I spent >1500hrs in the designer on controller and <100 on mouse, so it's not like I'm fully adapted to mouse either.
If HB puts it back to what it was intended to be with page up/down it will be fine, but if they change it so that Q/E operate that and spline plant / advanced edit gains a new shortcut it might be even better?
