This is my entry into the Design League 8 hole reversible course challenge. Little Lake Loop was created with multiple teeing options, and the best way for me to utilize them was to publish 2 versions, the Red and the Blue. Each have different tees and pins for each hole. The Course - yardages are approximate Hole 1, 480-520 yards The very long, yet very downhill opener starts with a tee shot over a meadow and carry bunker. The hole doglegs slightly to the left and finishes with a bold green where the slopes can be used to your advantage. You'll likely have a short to mid iron in for your second shot. Hole 2, 480-380 yards The tee shot is played downhill into a valley, with bunkers on the left, and middle of the fairway. The best angle into the elevated green is from the left side. Do not be short on your approach. Hole 3, 220-165 yards This par 3 plays slightly uphill, or slightly downhill depending on the tee location. The large green is ringed by bunkers behind, to the right, and in front. There is a backstop that will help guide shots hit long back to the middle of the green. Hole 4, 630-520 yards This par 5 plays hugs Little Lake from tee to green along the right side. A series of bunkers and trees needs to be carefully navigated on the tee shot to set up a clear angle for the second shot. A large mound in front of the green will either help kick the ball onto the green, or down to the right into the lake. Hole 5, 480-430 yards This very challenging par 4 hugs the lake on the left side. The tee shot needs to navigate the same bunkers and trees as on #4, with the water very much in play as well. The uphill approach is the trickiest on the course with a massive false front that can send the ball 40 yards back down the fairway. Hole 6, 275-165 yards This par 3 plays from an elevated long tee, or a ground level lower tee. The green has lots of shelves, bowls, and backstops, so hitting the correct spot is vital. Hole 7, 485-360 yards This hole plays back up the valley, with bunkers to the right of this left to right sloping fairway. Hugging the bunkers right will leave you a clearer view, and better angle into the green. If the tees are up lay back to avoid a pitch shot, a full wedge is the smart play. Hole 8, 540-430 yards This hole plays as a par 5 on the Red course, and a par 4 on the Blue course. The hole climbs up a steep slope from tee to green. When playing as a par 5, laying up left is the sensible play. As a par 4, you've just got to hit 2 great shots to leave yourself even a manageable putt. 9th hole, 91-65 yards This tiny par 3 is meant to play as a Boozers/Gambling hole after matches, or as a tiebreak hole. The tees are located directly outside the bar patio, so onlookers can cheer and jeer golfers on the tee. The green is tiny and severely sloped, hit it close, and do not, under any circumstance hit it right! Thanks to arielatom for snagging some awesome pics for me!

mattyfromcanada , great job bro! If this would have been a full 18, it would probably be considered an instant classic by a lot of people. The green, bunker, and fairway sculpting were dope, and the lighting really helped to show off that work. The planting was very well done(especially the rocks... ). I played both Red and Blue, and enjoyed the variance in approaching each hole. No disrespect to your previous courses, but this is my favorite publish by you so far. Well done sir!

Appreciate that a lot! The goal is to keep improving and I hope I've done that with this course. I had a lot of fun with this one, it was a real challenge thinking of the playing corridors and how to make them play well in multiple directions. So glad you enjoyed!

Loved this course and agreed wish it was a distinct 18. Right away it reminded me of one of my favorite courses right now Saxondale by Dan Griffith who I think has put out quite a few A rated courses. Thanks for the work and keep them coming as this is really, really good.

Thanks for reaffirming that it does indeed feel like Saxondale, Jr.

I'm hungry for more Stanley Thompson right now. Yoho River was amazing (and coulda ranked higher than 13th in my top 50, y'know) and the Banff Springs remake we have is pretty sh@tty so I'm looking forward to seeing this one!

This one isn't too much of a Thompson course, but it was a fun practice for Yoho. I played it once after porting it and all I can say is good luck haha! It's a tough one. Definitely had fun making it.
