A clip I made for laladiesman of my newest creation, backed as usual by an original song.
I might finally be getting the hang of this, as "Alamiss Village" got a few good responses.
This will be a "Swiss" course around a glacial lake. The lake is more of a scenic feature, as you only carry it once.
It's 9 holes to a halfway house, where there is a waterfall. There are a few back & forth holes and some forest loops in the eighteen. An area off of the 4th hole is the site of a past fire, so dead trees abound there. Right now, par is looking like 72 on a 7500 yd course
The music is a 'headphone mix' one-man analog demo of "When It Comes (Wrong Side, Baby)" I wrote some 7 years ago, so it's kind of oddball & political after a fashion. Feel free to turn it down !

It's out as BobLLTest. Have fun, and give some feedback. Hope to have final pub'd on Monday or Tuesday.

I played your beta and am curious about how close to publish you are with this one? I don’t want to insult your intelligence with feedback and suggestions that you’re already aware of but if you’re interested, I do have some suggestions for you. Let me know if you care to hear them or not!

Let me know if you care to hear them or not! Go for it ! I'm comfortable enough to take 'em ... if you're comfortable enough if I ignore the. Hopefully, I've corrected some of the flaws. Spent a lot of the day shrinking trees, and got the double green working well. I kind of rushed the beta, my buddy lala dismantled was itching for a look, and it was basically playable. How did it flow, regardless of technical issues ?

Don't know where the typos pop up ..I swear I proofread. Should read 'laladiesman' as the friend...he has a couple of nice designs himself. Anyway, looking at a Tuesday publish, hopefully. There's the promo clip or page to do, and XBox doesn't lend itself to the sharpest captures, and I have a hideous time getting my pics to display, no matter where I've tried hosting them..
So if you have ideas, throw them out overnight, but unless I have questions I may not follow up until after I complete it. G'night from "the ATX" by way of "the Big Easy" !

Most of the stuff I was going to mention involved smoothing playable surfaces and moving some trees that were maybe a bit too close or even directly in the line of play. Other then that, the course played well enough and I really liked your halfway house area off of 9 green.

Thanks for the tips ... I'm working my way hole-by, adding the tee box amenities now. Everytime I spot a flaw I try & work it out. Thanks ! The (now multiple) trees blocking the view of the tenth are intentional. Other than their imposing nature, pretty much a standard 'blind' drive, easy to clear. On 15, I've opened the gap, but that is another intentional choice - stay right between 250 & 275, or go long down the left for the shorter approach. Almost done with the course descriptions - will probably tease with that tomorrow sometime.
Did it 'feel' like the 18 you 'should' find on this piece of property ? Subjective, I know, but it's the aspect tht most satisfies me ... a great round can be had on a scrubby muni course if it's done right. Decided to smooth cartpaths first, then work around the edges of the fairways. Teebox bling just about done ... added some fencing, and you know how long that can take. If you don't mind, give my 'Alamiss Village' a try ... Delta course with some dunes, woods, neighborhoods, etcetera. A donut bunker mid-green on 16, and the 5th is a good 'choices, choices' hole. In the designer's opinion, LOL. Stay well !

In the designer's opinion, LOL. Stay well ! To answer your question about feel, I can’t really say anything but “sure?”! Most of the high-mountain lakes I’ve been around in my lifetime have very little if any land around them that could even come close to being suitable for golf course construction but I also think just about anything that’s done in the Swiss theme tends to lean towards the “fantasy” end of the design spectrum. In that regard, I don’t think this course had any issues in terms of looking out of place with the landscape. Maybe find some areas to add some rock work paired with some more rugged-style planting? That would probably be my only suggestion in terms of enhancing the “mountain course” feel of this one if that’s truly what you’re going for. I’ll be sure to check out Alamiss. If you can find the time to repay the favor, my first and only publish so far is called Ol’ Hickory GC. I’d love to hear what you think!

I'll warm up on Ol Hickory a bit later. I have 11 lifelike courses out there, I actually m a bigger fan of 'Dormie CIty', but 'Alamiss' was last & the only one Ive ever gotten feedback on.
