Alamiss Village Golf Club - definitely not a 'contest-level' creation visually, but a good round of golf can be had for the low green fees.
Fictional course located along the Mississippi-Alabama coastline, so I'd suggest using the weather for maybe Destin, Pensacola or Gulf Shores when you play. The usual winds would be, in-game, "North" or "Northeast", since they use the direction it blows towards. This makes the first 3 holes a little more challenging, but will give you a tailwind on #18.
The plot of land is open to the coastal road at one end, with some dunes framing holes on both nines, while the back of the tract is still wooded, awaiting development. There are a couple of neighborhoods already sold & built (in the real world, you would see more decorative palms in yards, but can't get the southern oaks, pecans, etcetera & them simultaneously, so ...)
Along the two-lane coastal highway, there is a fairly large hotel that you play past on #4, and a few other businesses that may come into view. No cartpaths on this effort, just a closely mowed strip on each hole. It's a very walkable course (would it be cool to have that in-game option, to 'walk' between shots ? Or at least a slower eye-level flycam from one shot to another).
I worked on making the bunkers as good as possible, but there's no way to really ensure they'll cost you a shot. Bunker play is just not that hard in-game (or IRL for pros). I'll tinker with the sand & rough roll settings before release, and try and make it feel right. Greens will be likely fast by default, but being on the Gulf, I'd only set firmnesses at moderate. It gets hot, but not so dry to make things 'hard'.
Well, here's an attempt at linking the YouTube preview, hoping for some eyeballs on it. I design as BobalooNOLA on the Xbox, and have 10 courses you can find easily enough. I LOVE feedback, so lemme have it. But be not too harsh when commenting on the music, I'm just an amateur having some fun writing & playing at a local ATX jam night !

Looks, nice. Good video and music. Love the Blues myself. Singer sounds a little like Bnois King who used to play With Smokin' Joe Kubek.

ed: Just did ... love that style of roadhouse blues. The clip I chose 'Healthy Mama', reminded me of "King Clarentz" Clarence Brewer (Bed Spring Boogie, Fast Food Slow Death, etc).
Always nice to get encouragement on my design work. My other 10 courses have about 200 plays between them, but I did little to no promoting them. Some holes in there I'm proud of, but never have done a really top-notch design. Once I get good, realistic play, I tend to move on ... I've got a lot of interests, after all. "Lake Parr" is one of my better ones, but my "Desert City Championship" is most played with 30.
As an XBox designer, I understand I suffer a little, but until my old laptop for web connecting dies, a computer for gaming is not in the budgetary cards. Damn you, "cloud". I used to count on getting a new PC every 4 years or so, just to be able to do basic web browsing, spreadsheets & stuff. Or so I could convince my wife.

PS you should join Designers Only Tour. It’s a society of designers and we only play courses made by members. It has beginner club members and masters. It’s all about the design, not our scores. One quick round a day and you’ll get your courses on the schedule and usually a lot of great feedback. That goes for anyone else reading this. gerek is running it right now if you want to message him in the society to get your course up.

Thanks for the tip, we will see about that. Finishing touches today (rakes, signage, still the back 9 restrooms to do) after a ton of play in different winds to make up my mind about which borderline 5s might better be long 4s. If someone only plays one round, they'll miss some of the challenges, but face others. Really no way around it, especially since I design to have holes playing to all directions.
May not do a new video for release, but do want write up some course tips and try and link pics (last time I tried, all I saw was the link, where the YouTube link showed the clip). It would certainly be easier on PC, but getting a new one for that opens up a whole can of City Skylines expenditures I'don't best avoid for now, lol.
Catch you later, grilled cheese & applesauce for dinner almost done !
