I have begun work on the new home of the AT&T Byron Nelson. I had already started this course last year, but stopped working on it to do Colonial and Austin Country Club. After learning so much from that experience I have decided to start from scratch and am remapping the course in OSM, even though I had done it previously. I revisited my mapping and wasn't happy with it. Stay tuned. I'm confident this course won't take as long as Austin did.

You are obviously in berserk right now, you'll just never stop Well..this means another great course is on the way. By the way, you could indicate to me a link with a tutorial about the whole Lidar procedure?

By the way, you could indicate to me a link with a tutorial about the whole Lidar procedure? You're funny, Ezzino. I'm just getting started and I have no deadline, so I'm going to take my time. The course is located in the neighborhood where I live, so I have extra motivation do it. There a several good resources out there about the Lidar process, but these may be the most helpful. And don't forget there's a whole section on Lidar in the forum. I've been able to get help there several times when I had problems. This link has instructions and a download for the tool needed for Lidar: Chad's ToolThese 2 links are youtube videos demonstrating the process. A great place to start learning to use Chad's tool. OpenStreetMapLidar KingIt takes some time and effort to learn the process, but it's well worth looking at.

The most interesting hole at Craig Ranch is the driveable par 4 on the back (14 I think). Other than that, I haven't found much else memorable about the course the three times I've played there. That being said, it shouldn't take anywhere near the planting work that you went through on your excellent Austin CC build and I look forward to following your progress.

Hey Jeff, whats up with all the pins on those greens? Are you just marking certain spots?

Hey Jeff, whats up with all the pins on those greens? Are you just marking certain spots? Mike, both of those greens are part of the range. For some reason I find it necessary to put pins on practice greens, even though no one usually would see them.

I usually do the same thing, Jeff me too (and i suspect we are not alone, at all) I know no one could ever use it anywyay (and barely notice it) but i couldn't ever release a course knowing something like this is missing. I feel already bad enough if i can't get the rid of some little wave around a fairway or a little piece of rough.. I'm pretty sure is all part of the OCD. Then is all fine.
