First of all, if you haven't played gamesdecent 's The Pastimes Club, go play it. Then play it again. Then come back.
Ok, now that's done, you should have an idea of the type of course as well as ridiculously high expectations. I laid this plot down about a month ago with the concept of routing around a central barranca that was already there. In essence, creating a properly wild plot and then finding holes that would maximise the natural features. Petty and I were chatting about the concept, so I sent him the file before I went to bed. When I woke up, he'd switched themes, routed and surfaced all 18. That pace continued and The Pastimes Club was born. What's really cool is that the two of us found some very similar green sites, but would approach them from different directions, or use the same land in very different ways. We've had a lot of back and forth about the terrain, debating green sites etc and it's definitely pushed me. So, what does mine look like? Well, it's the fourth version, but I finally love the routing and am racing through now. My previous attempts were trying to be too cute and force holes that I'd fallen in love with. This one has the very best of those holes, plus some more that lead away from the barranca and give variety. With this routing, I tried to use the barranca a ton and in a number of different ways, whilst avoiding zigzagging across it endlessly. For example, on one you cross it on the approach, on two it's behind the green, on four you drive dead at it etc etc.

Can never go wrong with a little Mackenzie, Pasatiempo, or both. Really looking forward to this one just as much as I did for The Pastimes Club

How close do you think you are to a publish if you don’t mind my asking?

How close do you think you are to a publish if you don’t mind my asking? I’d say a week or just over, depending on how much time I can get. Still a lot of planting to do and need to figure out the off-course details, playtest etc. Good news is that I don’t think I need to redo any of the holes though 🙂

I’m at that particular point on a hole with my current WIP. I’ve routed it and sculpted it but every time I look at it I like it less and less. Oh well, back to the old drawing board. Hope you get the time you need to finish ASAP. Really looking forward to this one. P.S. Thanks for taking the time to do your tutorial videos really informative stuff there.
