Hi guys. While i'm still working to finish my first course (it could be already done, if i would be less busy and OCD prone, but nevermind..), i was thinking to my next, in fact my first "real" project, being my first course just an experiment to learn how to use the editor.
And, for my first project, i still don't know if to create a Lidar course or to realize one of those courses that we can't have with Lidar. But, while i already know (more or less) what to choose if i should create a Lidar course, about the others i'm full if doubts, mainly about these 4 courses, cause the only thing i know is that i wish to create a course in Asia, Africa or South America, considering how few "esotic" courses we have. And, possibly, a course used in some Tour.
In these days i checked a good number of courses, but these 4 are those i like the most. I wish to decide in the next couple of days what course to create and, then, while i'll complete my first course, i'll spend also some day (if not week) to collect videos and pics of the course i'll create, before to start.
Personally..and selfishly..i wish to start with Leopard Creek, a course i always loved and that would be a serious, serious challenge in terms of environment, but do you think some of the other courses could be more useful for the community?

Great stuff Vinny! Your WIP for this would be fun to follow ð Thank you, mate The truth is there are dozens of courses it would be great to realize. I think about this choice by a pair of weeks..and i checked A LOT of courses here and there..creating on my pc folders full of pics to build a good archive. Unfortunally, the huge majority of these courses offers not enough footages, pics..and all those little things that allows you to make a good, really accurate work. Especially about slopes and elevation changes..that are my biggest worry about this work without Lidar. Just to talk, as first i checked really carefully Hirono, one of the best (if not the best) course in Japan..and for a while it was my choice, but i must admit i can't find enough good videos or pics of the course as it appears after the restoration work on it ended in September 2019 (the course was made by Alison and it has a long and twisted story..it was also used by the army during WW2 and it was really ruined and different, looking at the original design, so they called Ebert and his associated to restore it)..and is a shame cause it would be a crack..if then i would be good enough to recreate it properly, of course. I checked also courses in Middle East and South America. There are a couple of nice courses in UAE, Saudi Arabia and Oman..in China and, more generally, in Southern Asia..but in the end i'm looking for these 4 courses cause they offers at least a good amount of videos and pics to make an accurate work. About these 4 courses, Sheshan is for sure the most famous. Is also a course i really like. A LOT. And the only real evident difficulty it would be the shape of some of the many bunkers and the huge amount of houses around the course. But is nothing impossible to deal with. Nine Bridges has been a great surprise..it looks really, really beautiful. Maybe is the more nice looking. TPC Kuala Lumpur has two courses and both of them looks really nice and maybe it would be possible to create both of them on the same project. Leopard Creek has unbelievable colors and atmosphere and i suspect it would be the hardest choice. I also checked for Lidar courses here in Italy and in Europe (god..i saw a bulgarian course simply TOO gorgeous!!)..but i would prefer to create an "exotic" famous course, before, cause i think that, as community, we miss mainly this kind of courses. Anyway..i'll wait a bit for some good suggestion (who knows, is possible i just forgot some great course) and meanwhile i'll think about the whole thing for some day, then i'll decide.

Nine bridges is a beautiful course Agreed. In these days i'm collecting and checking various footages of the tournaments played on these courses and i must admit there are good reasons to make all of them. But Nine Bridges is really something. And it was also the one i knew less than the others. I'm really amazed learning how good it is.
