The Dallas Morning News has reported that the AT&T Byron Nelson will be played at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney for the next 5 years. The course is in my neighborhood. I know what course I’ll be doing once I finish Austin Country Club. I already have the lidar downloaded and the course mapped in OSM. Thankfully I don’t think it will take nearly as long to create. It’s a great track that has hosted the Web.com championship and has been a U.S. Open qualifier as well.

The course looks pretty good the only thing that might be time consuming is the housing around the course

The course looks pretty good the only thing that might be time consuming is the housing around the course That will be a little bit of a challenge, but overall I should be able to do a good job of recreating the course. There are plenty of resources available and I can walk virtually the entire perimeter of the course, with almost every hole in sight. Basically a bird's eye view of the whole thing.

Cool! I know you had talked about doing this one before, but now this makes total sense. This should be a decent venue for the tournament as well... seems like it may be a bit more interesting than Las Colinas. Thanks as always for the time you spend on all of this.

Wow, a course designed by looking directly at it! 👏 Now all we need is for you to speed up your process a bit 😉 (Seriously though, this should be another great addition 👏)

I hope all the time I've invested in Austin Country Club shows. We're going to find out soon.

Hope that's ok I don't need to play it to find out mate. It's a LiDAR that the designer has put a phenomenal amount of effort and OCD(ness) into. The pictures are stunning. It's going to be a top course, and I can not wait to get into our schedule at USE. (If it really is about to drop, we'll fit it in to the end of our season. Otherwise it'll be on next season.)

Isn't Craig Ranch allegedly where Anthony Kim has been hanging out, definitely not playing golf and definitely not hitting range balls, but maybe also playing golf and hitting range balls and passing the time while his insurance money rolls in?

I could write several paragraphs of all the things that contribute to length of time it takes for me to do a course. 😀
