Hi all, I am new to this forum and new to the Golf Club 2019 game. I got the game as a Christmas gift this past year from my wife mainly to design golf courses. So,this is a preview of my first course design which was started in early January and is nearing completion, It was first designed with the game's computer generated software, but as I learned more by watching You Tube tutorials, all 18 computer generated holes were eliminated. The course is still layed out on the plot that I first created, but three holes were completely revamped and the front nine were swapped to become the back nine. I felt the original hole 10 was a better starting hole. Unfortunately hole 9 which was the original 18th hole now finishes at the clubhouse.
Water affects every hole on my course. I played a course called Thunder Hill in real life that is now closed. It was originally a fish hatchery that was converted into a golf course. The course had 75 ponds and lakes and had a PGA rating of 78 from the pro tees. It was the toughest course I ever played. I was a +10 handicap player at the time I played this course and lost over two dozen golf balls during my round. That course was the inspiration for the idea and design of my course. I wish there could be a lidar version of that course, but as previously mentioned it closed in 2011.
I created my course one an Xbox One console, so my images might not be as nice as the one's from a PC. The following pics are the opening hole, the sixth hole, which is the first par five and the eight hole, which I refer to as the "heart attack hole" because of it's heart shaped green.
I have only playtested my course with very low winds, so my next project is to play my course with maximum winds and see how playable it is.
I would appreciate any comments or critiques, good or bad regarding the three hole I am posting here today and thank you in advance.
