Seeing as I hadn't made any threads about these courses I had in the pipeline I thought I may as well put a bit of stuff about them here all in one place for now. My original plan for when I finished Valderrama (which unfortunately is taking longer than expected for various reasons) was to stay in Spain and highlight at least two more of the top courses from that region starting with Finca Cortesin and PGA de Catalunya (Stadium). I also have a couple of others in mind too but that would be getting way too far ahead of myself at this point . Just a couple of overhead shots and links to the course websites for now..... Finca Cortesin WebsitePGA de Catalunya (Stadium) WebsiteJust to complete the trio, here is one of Valderrama in its current state...

Estimate on valderama?? Pretty please! I'm working on it as I'm typing this I have had a bit of spare time recently so have managed to get some things done to the course. Although it has only been stuff like adding hedges and bushes etc down the full length of holes (roughly half of them) in order to create the real boundries of the course, it has made a huge difference to how things look as you play. That alone has really started to bring everything together better and makes it feel a lot more finished. It's mostly just getting all the bunkers finished off properly now really. As you know I was having issues in getting them as accurate as I wanted them to be but after trying pretty much every single technique and trick in the book (not just myself either, a couple of other designers had a go too) nothing worked good enough for that level of accuracy so I gave up trying . I have now made a proper start on them combining a couple of methods which is slow and tedious, but what they are coming out like isn't too bad and to be honest it will mostly only be me that knows they aren't 100% anyway so meh . After they are done then it's then adding whatever other decorative details the plant meter will allow......just stuff for general overall accuracy and "realism" - items on the practice range, villas and pools adjacent to the course etc etc. Also if I can be arsed after all that, I was going to finish off the par 3 course properly rather than it just being rough tees, greens and bunkers as it is currently but I'm not sure I'll bother, instead I may do it at a later date and release it as its own course but we'll see.... In terms of an actual estimate I can't be certain as I don't know for sure how much time I will have to do all that over the next few days / weeks / whatever, but it certainly isn't far off now

Understand the frustration with the bunkers, but decent/good bunkers, in the right places on the course, are all that's required to keep the course where it needs to be. May as well say it again, can not wait for this one!
