Round 3 E
Sorry teammates but wasn't in a good frame of mind to be playing pixel golf and I decided to speed golf.

I do want to point out that next week is a rcr.... Ya, I read the bio on it on the tgc site. I will muddle through it. RCR's are always appreciated as they take a lot of time from designers and that is always appreciated no matter whether I like the course or not. Just a personal preference to my golf I tend to pull left, so when the fairway is slanted in the same direction I have problems. But hey that is just me, I am not dissing the designer, just not a course to my liking.

Ugh after taking a peek at next weeks course, IF I was not playing in this wonderful community event with some fantastic people I would never play the tours next week. I am not a fan of every fairway being totally slanted, after playing a few holes I quit the practice and will revisit after I have a few drinks so I they will look straight!Β For the sake of my own sanity i never play or even read or look up on what course will be played the coming week. Also why i almost never play any rounds outside of the official rounds - that way i can guarantee that whatever course we play wil be a new experience. Must admit, now imma curious. Roll on Sunday!

Round three, -9. a relief after round two when nothing would drop although I had one or two today in general things went much better, I got to the par five 9th hole at -3 and got a very slow on my 2nd shot and found the water, I took my 4th shot from the heavy stuff and had a 32 yard flop which looked good but rolled past the pin and left me a 20 foot plus putt from the fringe, I let out a cheer as I made the putt and saved par and it's moments like this that can change a round, my 2nd shot at the tenth was a peach, i had an awkward red line downhill left to right lie and a 10mph right to left wind, I aimed slightly right of the pin about 195 yards and watched as my 5 iron shot hit the green and rolled left to right towards the hole and I thought it was going in but it just lipped out, a tap in birdie and I was smiling, an eagle at 16 and three further birdies and I walked off happy, not a fantastic score but another bogey free round and hopefully enough to get some points for my team. Scouting Report (Alcanada)I set my conditions with a high northern wind with very firm terrain and very firm fast greens. I thought I'll try the course at a mix of the hardest settings to prepare myself for what's to come.
As Carol mentioned the fairways are quite sloping so may need a bit of loft to your shots to stop them rolling too far. What will be vital will be the player's ability to play from side hills because of the fairways. Another component that may come in to play depending on the wind will be your shot shaping as there is trees near a few of the tee boxes.
Two par 5's are reachable in two but on one your tee shot will have to go right to avoid having to play round trees on the right. I found the course quite bumpy in areas and long putts may have to negotiate a few breaks.
Of course you may play the course differently from the white tees and the conditions should be a bit more favourable for the tournament.

If itβs any small consolation, I played the entire course (default conditions from the tips - quite the ride) and the back nine seems much more level. For what itβs worth. On a related note, Carol, Iβm quite worried about your drinking problem, in that you donβt seem to be drinking enough.

I'll be back in the saddle today to play a couple of rounds. I'm SO SUPER DUPER looking forward to it after how exciting I've heard this course is ππ I see my partner ( RHMIII) appears to be taking care of business in the singles so hopefully I can bring us home a couple of points in the pairs.

It goes without saying, try to keep it in the fairways or first cut, from the rough is brutal!

rd 2 -8 SkyBlueBen slower greens made it a bit more enjoyable, don't like the faster greens. Driving fast yes.π I am just the opposite Paul, anything slower than 163 and I just always leave it short. I would rather leave it a bit short and not watch the ball roll for miles when missing on fast greens. More chance of a double bogey.

SkyBlueBen Round two, -3, Sim golf eh, I was feeling good after nine holes round the CCam course and nine holes round the euro course, I hit a couple of eagles and only my 2nd ever albatross in any golf game and a clutch of birdies, but I get on the pond and nothing would drop, Lovely conditions virtually no wind and on another day it would've been a ten or twelve under or better, no bogeys but only three paltry birdies, I was playing really well from tee to green and I didnt feel as if I was putting poorly either but....sim golf eh Over to you partner I need bailing. SkyBlueBenmart280, sorry Martin putting didn't work for me on Round 2 as I came in -3 as well...should have been at least 4 if not more better off if putter was just slightly warm... now I have to find really big scores for my last two rounds for the singles.
