I practiced all four pins but only under default conditions because when you look at the weather report it tells you the conditions but not the round they will be used on. I also put the two wood in the bag to reach three of the par 5’s but it didn’t help me on the 9th in the last round as I hit it through the greens twice, yes I didn’t learn from the first shot 😒 What you could do is wait until the tournament is live and go in as if you are going to play a round take a note of the conditions then play a round with them. Doing so would require you to play the same course 8 times in the one week, which is something I've not got the desire to do. I never practice more than one round on pin 1. Just enough to get a feel. 5 rounds is more than enough on some of these courses!! 😂

SkyBlueBenWell I have read the thread so no point in complaining as most players agree about the conditions. As for playing in these conditions I don't go all the time for the long ball but try and find a club that can get me close to the hole. I try to land the ball within lob wedge range. Rd 1 -8 Rd2 -10 Total -18 at the turn. Good luck all yet to play and enjoy the pixel golf. Nothing enjoyable about this weeks pixel golf Ernie!! 😂😂

SkyBlueBenAfter wasting Pat's brilliant 2nd round and handing the doubles match away (I'm so sorry, Pat and the rest of the Monty,) I at least managed to bounce back a bit for singles. Pin placements in round 3 seemed a lot fairer to me, I could actually get it semi-close on a number of holes. Either that, or I should play a quick round at Pebble whenever my game gets wonky on tour. No bogeys and really no threat of bogeys. All my pars were tap-in and the rest were birdies. R3 : -10 (62)

Ugh after taking a peek at next weeks course, IF I was not playing in this wonderful community event with some fantastic people I would never play the tours next week. I am not a fan of every fairway being totally slanted, after playing a few holes I quit the practice and will revisit after I have a few drinks so I they will look straight!
