Usually after finishing a massive project like Surtsey it takes a while for the itch to come back.. but I made one good tee shot and settled on a plot theme that has the wheels turning early. As usual I have a couple of goals to go with this design.. 1) NO vf/vf. It's become a crutch 2) Make something thats not so difficult! 3) Don't avoid proper bunkers like the plague. Its looking like another super compact routing which is always fun! Heres an early look from the current 4th green, which doesn't go with either fairway in the background. Theme is Boreal

Looks like this course might be something after all.

Subtly marking hole strats with some green fringe. Other than the bunker not being sculpted, this hole looks pretty solid.

The 18th will offer a great opportunity for an eagle, but this elevated death bunker must be dealt with. Designed to make you think twice about running one up, or carrying to the front edge on a green which slopes away, it forces you to look at the fringe lined punchbowl features behind the green. If you dont heed this tiny little bunker's warning, your chance at birdie is gone. I guess you could always lay up but nah

An options hole that would be a beast irl. The green becomes more visible with a more aggressive tee shot, with a safe tee shot being a great bet for par. A lack of restraint here can show you the most difficult sub 320 par 4 you have ever encountered

Undertook a major plot project to help get the last 5 holes routed. Got all absorbed in my worl and about the same it was done enough to know I would keep.. damn blue screen of death. I quit

14 holes at about 80 percent completion, decided to do a lot of the tedious planting and stuff while I ponder the final routing. So far Ive done pretty good with keeping the difficulty down without sacrificing the strategy and interesting hole ideas. Should be my best course yet, and right off the heels of my first tour course. Looking like a February completion for now

If anyone knows how I got this pic on ps4 you're a genius.. todays update. 17 surfaced, 13 planted. You took the square flatten brush and jacked it up about 500 feet. Then playtested from there. Signed, an xbox designer who did the same thing. But I don't see any shadows off the giant land mass so maybe I'm wrong.

Signed... an xbox designer who did the same thing... Good guess but i used the jesus technique. This lets you go up over 1000 feet anywhere you want without messing with the plot at all. All you do is put the tee between 2 water bodies and you end up on top. Or you can just have a pc hah upload pic
