This is really an interesting thread this week. I think I'm gonna wait until y'all have uploaded a few pages of sh%$ talking each other and then sit down with a nice big bag of buttery popcorn and some whiskey to go over this fine convo (: (: (; (;

The 2nd shot in that video is about all I need to see. Just absolutely impossible for me to hit a max loft driver off the deck with that kind of accuracy, guess I need to get gud'er. Re: "everyone should have to record a round" etc - decent in theory, but for me, not entirely possible if we're talking about posting a "good" round. Not that it really matters if I'm able to since I'm not competitive anymore, but recording rounds on my PC drops me firmly into lego/flipbook golf territory. I have to turn my graphics down basically all the way, but even then on a densely planted course (which is basically all we play) my FPS hovers around the 30ish mark, it's really...really difficult to play. I'm happy to try if that's what is demanded, but I can guarantee that I'll lose around at least 3-5 strokes vs what my score would have been playing with my normal FPS - trust me, I know this from experience in trying to stream tour rounds in the past. I'm with you here brother. The best I could do is just stream my rounds because I don't think anyone would want to sit through the Chopiness that would ensue if I recorded a round...=P

I'm not sure what's so funny, can you enlighten me? You shoot well, share your rounds, a few people take a look and seem to confirm what I predicted, which is that you're still short / flick swinging. Doesn't seem to be anything too funny about the whole thing really...I'll take a look later and see if I've missed something. The thing that I find the funniest, is your calls for the crucifixion of crawesy89 in the societies on PS4, but your game is pretty much the same as his. That's funny. In order to beat people like Crawsey you must be like them so to speak. The whole if you can't beat em, join em thing. You guys are fighting the good fight but you're just rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. And I don't ban people like Crawsey does to everyone who fails api or those he just plain doesn't like. He's a hypocrite. I don't like that. Oh good lord, what have we become? Yes, other people are gaming the system and making the entire game and Tour competition a mockery, I'm gonna do that too! I mean, they screwed it up so yep, I'm joining them so I can see my name in lights! Pathetic!!!

I can agree with what you said on all points. Some more than others! I really don’t give the competition much effort anymore. There a many different games being played. Hence the I’ll show you mine thread, a way to form your own rivals. You see, although you post great scores they mean crap to me. As far as I care you could be posing scores from Mario golf. Craw, Dave, the flick gang are playing something different is all. Now when I see Dale post a -16 that does impress me!

All we now need to complete this shitshow, is for James' 'dad' to show up telling us we are all jealous of his 'son'.......
Then his well-endowed Mum to show up, to re-excite Fadge's (currently non-existant) hard-on.........
(as per a certain thread and player ban from TGC2)
The good old days.......

And I find it hilarious...The absurdity of it all...Grown men getting all worked up and arguing over the way a joystick should be moved in a video game. I don’t really see anybody getting worked up about anything, and the really absurd thing, to most of us at least, is the compulsion that some seem to have to take advantage of a recognised flaw in the game, to enable them compete against others that have taken advantage of that same flaw... in a virtual golf game. I’ll never understand cheaters or rule benders... real life or in video games. Just relish the challenge. In this age of emancipation, it’s just not enough for some.

The absurdity in needing to cheat to feel better about yourself as a grown man in a video game is far more hilarious to me. Even better than that is justifying it by saying others do so you’re just trying to keep up. Whataboutism at its finest.

Round 2 in the books. Very much like round 1 but I made a chip in for eagle and a few longer putts for birdie. -12 for the round -20 through 2, so that should get rid of that strike.

Well I think I just played my last round here.Trying two weeks to get used to a new controller after my last one deemed "worn out" and it's a trainwreck all around.Easily north of 50% for bad tempos with 6 swings in 2 rounds not even registering with a full line VS.It's pretty demoralizing when I actually thought I was improving only to learn it's probably because my 2 year old controller was almost failing API week after week until it finally did.
It just isn't fun anymore and I may as well spin the tempo roulette wheel for what I'll get with the new controller. It's so inconsistent I can't even play for the bad tempo I'm sure to get.The toppers being trying for a fast downswing off the tee on 18 only to see slow come up and dead straight into the water.
As for my rounds I was very happy to somehow manage -9 round 1 with probably the worst DA and GIR for the round and at least two or three shots left out there tempo related.
Rd.2 I was again happy to be -8 after about 14 holes only to bogey the last 2 holes with a series of VF,VS,S swings.Perhaps a blessing in disguise as having to play two more rounds with my level of frustration for this broken and exploited game may have saved me from having to replace electronics and furniture.
The course was great I thought from what little I saw of the short grass and wish I could have given it a better go.
Best of luck to the getting fewer legit players on here.Hopefully the next game will have a level playing field for you.
Apologies for the whiny rant.Carry on.

But I do feel better about myself when I beat that Crawsey. That is my goal every week.

You literally just contradicted yourself in back to back sentences. Flick away my man. I'll see myself back to CC-A.

I went through a spell like you describe to start the season. I think many of us at one time or another have problems like you describe. Take a break if needed, sometimes that does the trick. Hope you don’t quit!
