Somewhat reassuring to see the relatively high scores this week. I shot a first round of -5 and am +1 through 6 holes on the second round when I realized that my fume was making me not care. Doesn't help that one hand is wrapped in a soft cast.

Do have a bad habit of yelling at the TV though....not the most dignified thing for a 41 year old with two kids to be doing.

Yeah, my wife gives me weird looks when I yell "WTF, there's no way that was a very fast downswing!"

I decided to switch to Master clubs last week after getting demoted to CC-B using Pro clubs anyway, and I quickly picked up a demo mark. LOL!

I decided not to switch to Master clubs and avoided a demotion mark.
There’s a moral there.... 😂

Here, finally, we have a really good and fun course to play on. Fair all around, tough in spots, others are easy (but don't make a mistake!). I really liked a lot about this course - designers, take note of these courses that have wider fairways. They give the player options off the tee, and if you do it right - if the player doesn't take the right option, the hole suddenly gets much tougher. Difficulty isn't about narrowing fairways - narrow fairways aren't fun - designing a good and difficult course is about meaningful choices. This is true of any game - meaningful choices = fun. Golf is no different. I chose to go to the left fairway on #4 in round one, and then I chose to attack the pin with no margin for error from that angle. Anything left was dead - and I had a fast downswing, went OB and that was that. Double bogey. But that's not the course - that's all on me. If I had gone right fairway, I'd have had way more margin for error. That's good hole design. Other pins had the opposite decision to be made. I found the greens tough at 183, but that's because I find every green tough at 183. But there were lots of chances to use sideslopes and backstops to guide my approaches - more fun! Great job from Trayys. I was on fire my first 3 rounds, but then had to go take care of the kid for a while. Came back for round 4 and dammit, ICE COLD. Ugh. Oh well. Dumb but here we are. Rd 1: -8 Rd 2: -7 Rd 3: -12 Rd 4: -4 Total: -31

Hey guys I'm dropping down from CC-A courtesy of 5 demotion marks and many bad weeks of golfing. On the plus side I'm now sitting at 18th on the money list and see a few familiar names in CC-B.

-8 solid 8 birdies and no bogeys -7 cruising at -6 through 8 then a bogey on the 9th and double on the 12th(?) derailed a great round but rebounded going -4 on the last 4 -7 meh -6 played the front 9 -1 (with 3 bogeys) after having too many Jameson's. Back 9 sober -5 and left 3 putts just inches short of what could've been a -8 back 9 -28 I just make too many little mistakes to have great scores. Still enjoyed this course.
