Played a few holes at Grand Oaks Lodge which is next week's course. Think it's going to be a pretty difficult one. Looks like alot of strategy is going to be involved. It's a very pretty course. The default is very high winds and very fast greens. Looking at the weather report, we will have no worse than 'high' winds and at least one round of 'low' wind and one round of 'medium' wind. Cool. Hole 1 is a 517 yard par 4 with an insane green

I'll predict next week to be tougher than this week

Only played two rounds thus far and can’t seem to string anything together. Very pleased with my -12 first round, but followed it up with -4 second round where I couldn’t putt worth a damn. Will probably finish up tonight.... Finished up with -10 and -9 for a total of -35. At the very least I’ll get rid of that demotion mark from last weeks debacle.

12 under par after the first 18 holes followed by subsequent frustrating rounds of -5, -5 & -4 for a disappointing event total of 26 under. No idea if that'll be enough to ward off a dreaded demotion mark - time will as always ultimately tell. Really liked the course this week (Greg Emmerson)... very authentic & made tough in medium to high winds which are typical for a coastal venue.

I've just came to a decision that I'm going to practice every round I play from now in quick play with the wind meter off.
I need to prepare for my inevitable Korn Ferry debut come mid late December? ( Fingers crossed )
It's going to add a new element and I need to learn how to read the wind as close the the actual mph that I can.

Yeah, I knew my -27 wasn't GREAT but I had no idea it was downright GARBAGE.

Yeah, I knew my -27 wasn't GREAT but I had no idea it was downright GARBAGE. I don’t do well in these birdie-fests either. I shot -11 in round 1 and was not even 50th! So although I liked the course, it doesn’t suit my game, and by the time I shot -11, -8, and -11 to be -30 after three rounds, I kinda rushed through R4. I’ll be falling out of the top-10 in CC-B money I suspect. 😩

I came, I saw, I tried Masters clubs and got my first ever demotion marks, two of them so unless I want some more I think I better go back to Pro clubs pronto.

Round one in the books.
I'll start off by saying the course this week is alot more challenging and strategic.
Started very nice at -5 through 7. Hole 8 I fasted my drive into the rough and then put my approach into the bunker and shorted a flop shot and missed the par putt for a bogey.
Birdied 3 holes from 9-13 to put me at -7.
Hole 14 came. Be very careful guys on this short par 4. You can hit the fairway/ green but any slight push to the right it's going into the water which is what happened to me. Bogey!
Bounced back with a bird on 15 and 17 to sit at -8.
Then this happened on 18....Crazy putt for eagle. Saved my mediocre round!
-10
Good luck this week.

Tough week 7 for Victor Lane, who seems to be in a rough patch. Although he shot a bogey-free -11, -8, and -11, Victor was already way behind after R3 in this birdie-fest, which led to a lackadaisical final round -4 that included a very stupid bogey. On to Wk8!

So disappointed right now. Started off with one of my worst rounds in quite some time, -3 which included two visits into the water. Managed to score better in the later rounds even though condititions were harder, for a final tourney score of -23, so now I'm just hoping that's good enough for top 100.

Question about this rule in the promotion section of the rules.
Fast Track on CC-Pro (CC-A excluded)
The Top 5 (plus ties) Master Club users on CC-B, CC-C and CC-D will be auto-promoted to the flight above.
Fast track promotions are marked on finalized leaderboards with a green lightning icon.
I'm in CC-B and I finished T-4 last week with master clubs. From this rule shouldn't I be headed for CC-A instead of just getting 1 promotion mark? Could someone clarify what I'm missing here.
