Are the ones who set up these events having a good laugh? High Winds on Round 1, 3 and 4 with Round 2 being Very high? This wasn't a major or major championship. I'll be skipping the next event in protest and encourage everyone (except the superstars) to do the same. There was no call for winds like that on all four rounds!!!

Muggins here decided to do my Q school this week too. After 2 years off the game it was a wake up call I'll tell you! First round went ok but it soon went downhill.

Well, the last round was actually liberating. After seeing high winds on that round, along with high winds on the 1st and 3rd with the 2nd being very high, I just ceased to care as I no longer considered that tournament valid. Birdie, bogey, quintuple bogey; who cared? Certainly not me. On seeing those wind conditions, I knew I didn't have even a snowball's chance in Hadies. So no need to stress about it. See ya'll at The Caddyshack Open as I am skipping the Ty Webb Classic in protest. Good job, Tournament Directors. Good job at driving people away.

I don't see a problem with the wind this week, yeah it made the course a lot harder but it was harder across the field. These are the kind of winds you'd get IRL and I'm sure it's not just at big tournaments that the winds are high. I struggled through the 4 rounds and dropped to Pro clubs for my last round to finish at -6. I went through the motions for a lot of the tournament as I knew I would be near the bottom of the leaderboard, but I just accept it and hope I can do better next week.

FWIW I finished my Q school at -1 for the 4 rounds. Felt like the course kicked my ass but I’ll take it, learn from it and move on.
Wind or no wind, it’s the same for everyone. I certainly don’t take exception to it.

I think who made this choice, did it with the idea to offer, to us cc-players, the chance to test our skills playing with "Open" conditions. I see is hard. But is manageable. And I'm sure about this, even if I should finish this tournament scoring +12 (I have still to start). And, the most important thing, is the same for anyone. And I'm sure you know also that in any case is simply impossible to make anyone happy. Otherwise, someone should complain about the fact that we never play some "major flavored" tournament..and so go on. I understand your rant, but I also think your reaction is a bit exaggerate. Instead to try to boycott the tournament, if you don't like some tournament or to play in some condition, just don't play. I did it (and I expressed also some criticism about the "philosophy" behind the courses selection for the US Open, but I perfectly knew and know that it would be silly to boycott the event) some time ago, when I disliked one of the courses used for the US Open qualifying. I did it and nobody died. About complaining (always talking about the fact that is impossible to make anyone happy ) I'm a bit disappointed cause, considering the enormous number of courses we have..and that we have a good number of real links in the game, I would prefer to play St.Andrews or some other course, instead to play all of us (except the Web tour, if I understand well) the same course. But i understand the move. Then, apart from the wind, I hope I'll not see very firm conditions on fairways and greens, not just cause they're tougher, but it would be unrealistic. Anyway, I'm sorry you are so pissed off, even if I understand you. Take it easy. After all, is just a week. Good golf

Are the ones who set up these events having a good laugh? High Winds on Round 1, 3 and 4 with Round 2 being Very high? Yes. I am most certainly enjoying a laugh at your expense. This wasn't a major or major championship. So? Do you think thewind cares about golf? Alongside The Open, we're playing an RCR of the course hosting The Open. You got Open Championship winds this week. It's the same for everyone. I'll be skipping the next event in protest and encourage everyone (except the superstars) to do the same. There was no call for winds like that on all four rounds!!!We use "High" winds at least once almost every week, so that is something you should be able to handle by this point. This is the 3rd round in which you've encountered "Very High" winds out of the 148 rounds we've scheduled this season (2%) and the first round with "Very High" winds since week 5.

But did you accept it?😉 You did drop down to pro clubs to help yourself. But!! I don’t think pro clubs are much help to be fair in these conditions. I’m sticking with Masters. I’m -2 after 3 rounds. Hopefully I don’t fall below that. Thinking even par will be a good score for the final round, but I hope for something more along the lines of -2 to -5 . My goal is to finish at least -5. Also!.... I actually love how the conditions are this week. People complain about how the scores are always so out there, well not this week!!

See this is where our views differ I have no problem dropping to Pro clubs where they're a no go for you, each to their own. Well my account is still active, I'm not boycotting anything or giving the staff grief like I've seen in the past so yeah I've accepted it.

What club is better to use in this conditions is an interesting debate, but I suppose it depends always just by point of view. Before the start I tried both the clubs. Finally I decided to play using pro clubs cause, in my opinion, playing in this conditions for me is more important to shot straight. When some lateral wind blows stronger than usual, as in this tournament happens, every little deviation from the blue line is outrageously maximized. And I'm still no good enough to keep that straight line in some kind of shot (especially when I add some spin). Maybe is more important to pick the right clubs in the bag (accordingly to the par 3's length). And to practicing at least one time before every round. Anyway, this tournament is some serious fun for me. No matters what it will be my score. And is a great practice to improve in the wind. The course is also pretty well realized. Now I have to play my second round. In practice, with these conditions, I scored a -9...we'll see if it was just a bonus that is over, now Good golf guys.

I found the winds to be exactly as I would have expected for a links course. Wind didn’t factor into my play as much as my putting let me down. Gotta say, TST was a real challenge, but fun.

Keep it up, and play well. Oh, thank you! But I think there's nothing special in my words. What make this game something unique is that is not a challenge against someone else..the challenge is just with yourself and the course. Always. You need to practice, learn and adapt yourself to what the course and conditions offers to you in that exact day. And I love this game cause it should be something about honor and fair play. Always. Is simply this.
