"Spectrum on the Sound" is open for play! Set on a fictional Pacific Coast peninsula where the ocean cuts into the mountainous terrain, this Par 71 course offers panoramic scenic views and a unique golf experience.. Soft Fairways, Moderate firm greens, 171 green speed. Gold - 6232 White - 6532 Green - 6771Green tees are to be used for the Contest. Required elements for judging:At least ONE blind tee shot - Hole 6 - 322 yard Par 4, reachable by shortcut through the trees. At least ONE Par 3 greater than 230 yards - Hole 7 - 237 yard Biarritz style Par 3 a la Chicago Golf Club (front portion of swale is fairway.) At least ONE hole with elevation change equal to or greater than 125 feet - Hole 8 - 501 yard road hole Par 5 up a mountain pass overlooking the ocean and the valley below. Bonus elements:At least ONE Drive-able par 4 At least THREE par 4’s under 400 yards At least ONE template green complex of your choice At least FIVE par 3 holes Enjoy your round on Spectrum on the Sound."Life's good on the Spectrum."

The attention to detail around your course is very impressive. The creativity, technical know how and effort to pull it off made for a gorgeous looking course.
Another one in the contest where i wasn't sure why some of the hole design decisions were made or where they came from until i read the OP and saw some judging elements lol. Some really well made holes out there, and fun to play.

Played this one this morning in the Friends of the Golf Club society.
Really enjoyed it. 5 star and a favorite.
Thought it was an AWESOME look through-out all 18 holes.
Best hole visually to me was the par 3 10th. Great vistas there.
My only knock was that your greens were a too tame for my liking.
But with that said; in my opinion this course should be right in the thick of it for winning the contest!

Incredibly immersive course with excellent background sculpting! Awesome details to make the course very realistic. Loved the routing with many unique and potential Signature holes!
Best drive-able par 4 in the contest (#6).
I'd put this course in the Top tier in this CC contest.
So good and thank you for the design!

This course is just fantastic! It's a must play for everyone. A bit on the easy side, but that's not a negative. In fact, it just means the course can be enjoyed by all skill levels. The planting and lighting here are top notch. I'm no judge, but this course has to be a top contender. Great job here |

Giving this one a bump. It's a great track filled with a variety of fun tee shots and great visuals. Was busy around the time of the cc comp so never got a chance to play. Glad i stumbled across it again. Nice work, Daryl.
