Celebrated golf architect Tom Fazio has taken what was already an award-winning course and transformed it into a parkland paradise befitting a country in the top tier of global golfing destinations. The new course has been created in harmony with the outstanding natural beauty of its surroundings: lush, softly rolling terrain, mature tree scaping, and the sweeping banks of the River Maigue. Each hole of The Golf Course at Adare Manor could be crowned the feature hole: each one has been entirely redesigned and reconstructed, with the very latest technology and course innovations, creating a challenging, characterful, and profoundly satisfying playing experience for golfers of every level. The final result is a course that is at once strategic and soulful, playable in all conditions, and future-proofed in preparation for premiere amateur and professional golf events. Cared for by an experienced, passionate team of devoted greenkeepers, the condition of this course and its velvet-smooth Pure Distinction bent grass greens is unrivalled. Off the course, this commitment to perfection continues in the perfectly appointed clubhouse. Luxurious, stylish, with a modern jazz-age sensibility and every convenience and indulgence you could require, The Carriage House is a worthy counterpart to Europe’s finest new golf course. This is where you will find our expert team and comprehensively stocked Pro Shop, our elegantly welcoming locker rooms, and exciting options for food, drink, and relaxation. The Carriage House features a world-class restaurant managed by our Director of Culinary, Loughlin Druhan; a smart and lively bar serving light bites and a remarkable collection of fine wines, craft beers, and sophisticated cocktails; a gorgeous covered Terrace with panoramic views of the greens; and our snug and comfortable Cigar Lounge. I was SO close to starting a fictional course inspired by Adare Manor. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it, I think what you do to make the manor as true to life as possible will be fun to see.

The Golf Course @ Adare Manor has just been announced as the host venue for the 2026 Ryder Cup When I saw this thread I figured you selected the course after the announcement, but now I see that was an incorrect assumption. What great timing! I have to be honest, the idea of a parkland-style Fazio course in Ireland doesn't exactly get me going the way Lahinch does, but if you vouch for the course then I'll give it a chance.

What great timing! I have to be honest, the idea of a parkland-style Fazio course in Ireland doesn't exactly get me going the way Lahinch does, but if you vouch for the course then I'll give it a chance. Oh I get you, it's the first of its type of course in this part of the world for sure, so many different surfaces worked in to create it. Looking at the overall hole structure it's easy to see why people are making comparisons to Augusta in that no ball is safe on a green, so many twists and turns and slopes across the greens. The run off areas are everywhere. My brothers played it twice with a few of his colleagues from Callaway and they all were gobsmacked at it. That basically courses don't exist around here with the kind of manicuring that goes on in Adare and that simply no matter how many photos or videos you see, until you step on that first tee, you'll never understand how unbelievable the course is. Personally, I love a good old fashioned links myself. Got up to see R2 of the Open at Portrush and being honest, hard to find a nicer links course out there

After a break finishing off some other projects, back in working on Adare again. The front 9 is all laid out, only downside is that the plot, even at its widest point is not wide enough to fit the course flow.
I ran into similar issues with Wentworth, unable to have the 12th & 13th holes flow with the course and they were sculpted on another side of the plot. I made makeshift tees and greens to give the appearance of a flow, and may need to do the same here which sucks but it is what it is.
