Welcome to Troubadour Country Club (Trou-ba-dour). This up-market country club is in full bloom and ready for you to step up to the first tee. Troubadour starts off with a long, downhill par 5. The tee is located at the highest point of the course, next to the clubhouse. You fire downhill before having cross the railroad track on your second shot. After navigating the long par 3 second, the player can have a wedge in hand for the next five holes. These holes are all great scoring opportunities , but also five of the most penal greens on the course. The scoring opportunities continue throughout the round, provided the player can hit his or her short irons into the small but undulating greens at the Troubadour. Get to the tee and take it on! Required elements to judge: At least THREE par 4’s under 400 yards- This course features 4 par 4s at or under 400 yards, putting a premium on wedge-play. 5 pars 3's - Ranging from 232 yards in length to 117 yards, the five par 3s at Troubadour offer a wide amount of variety. At least ONE three shot par 5- The final hole fires back up to the clubhouse. At over 600 yards playing 90 feet uphill, this is unreachable in two and requires some thought over where to leave the second shot.
Other required elements:
At least ONE Par 3 greater than 230 yards- Following the downhill par 5 first hole, the second plays 230 yards and requires the golfer to utilise the contours of the green to have a good birdie look. At least ONE Drive-able par 4- Troubadour Country Club features two holes that are drive-able in most conditions. The hole pictured below (hole 7) requires a tee shot flying 290 yards in the air to carry the canal and role up to the green. Template hole - Hole 6 is one of the signature holes at the Troubadour. At just 117 yards, this short template hole crosses the road to find the smallest green on the course. The tiny two-tiered green features dire runoffs and deep protecting bunkers.

Well this is 100% a contender. Played it after Gdog's stream and I loved the look you have going on. The closing stretch was awesome and I particularly loved the creek to the left of 17. The holes play really well and make you think. At one point (maybe the 12th?) I had a short pitch on a sideslope pushing it one way, to a tiny landing point, wind across pushing the ball the other way and having to loft up. Just love things like this that make you think. The short downhill par four that was 88ft downhill was a lot of fun, as was the TINY punchbowl green. So many things to enjoy here - give this a play, people.
Adam, great course - 5* and favourite. Best of luck for the contest; this deserves to do really well!

Just now getting a chance to play through some of the CC courses, heading straight to the tee at Ganglesee!

Another great course but that's no surprise after seeing Lone Red Maple, it's got a few quirks here and there. I liked the use of the bridges and paths throughout the surroundings.

Have not played yet but love your 6th hole. A wonderful postage stamp-infused short hole indeed!

I really admire how brave you are with your floral planting. You always pull it off. There were some really strong holes here and some experimental ideas. Played a really fun skins match. Belvedere Farms is still my favourite of yours, but this is a close second. Well done Adam.

Sweet course here. 5 stars and a favorite.
Of your courses I think I like Boa Vista a bit better because it's tougher. But this is my favorite of the contest so far.
Very unique look. I believe uniqueness should be much higher regarded in these contests then it is.
#6 I think. The short par 3. Terrific look there. Had never seen that before.
Also thought it was cool how 1, 18 and the driveable par 4 shared the same fairway area with the elevation changes.
I can see you getting judged negatively on that. But I thought it was a dynamite visual.
Also really enjoyed the rugged look to the outer edges of your bunkers. Usually I hate that rocky look but here it was awesome.
Great work!

What a crazy concept, but i thought you pulled it off nicely. Liked alot of the sculpting and was a great twist on the hole design. Really enjoyed my round.
Couldn't help thinking how great it would be to send out a bunch of liquored up weekend hacks for a shotgun start tourney, while sitting on that clubhouse deck to watch the chaos that would ensue. I see more than a few guys going down lol.
Anyways...good luck in the contest and nice job making such a unique course.
