I can't say I agree with the argument against the big rocks, that's literally what they are. And they jut out into the ocean on #17 like fingers, exactly as I tried to imitate. Do I wish the rock texture in delta were different in this case? Yeah, of course. But I think rocks make way more sense than just sculpting and buried trees alone. I DO wish I'd chosen delta over steppe BEFORE I started planting, as I was already too far in to swap to the coastal backdrop instead of the island backdrop. Taking it back to the LIDAR tool and rotating it 180 to fit right was going to mess up all the objects I'd already sunken up to that point, so I had to make the island backdrop work, which unfortunately you can see on some of the flyovers and it makes it look a little weird. But from the ground while playing it's not noticeable, at least. I can only assume you're right it "makes way more sense." You can use the 'explode' brush to make rocky terrain. I tried to do rocky terrain and cant get many plays, let alone post views. People put giant smooth boulders with blown up texture that stick out from the land and it looks great. So I must be wrong.

Delta theme doesn't make rocky terrain from buried trees though, only from steep angles, otherwise it just makes it dirt/sand. So it was either sandy fingers going out into the water, which I did at first and are still there and you can see under the rock objects I used or rock objects to show that that ground was rocky and not sandy. I'll take a picture when I get home and show you what it looked like with just the sculpting and buried trees but no rocks and let you decide.
The explode brush works great for high, steep coastlines, and is what I used on Laugharne, but that was highlands theme.

Petty making a great course where the rocks are in the conversation. Nothing new.
Amazing job pal, top of the RCR in game right now.

Tour version is now published. Changes include:
Lengthened tees on - #1, #4, #6, #13, #15, #16 Shortened tees on - #2 Changed par from 5 to 4 on - #2, #5
Now plays as a 6685 yard par 70. Greens have been firmed up to normal and bumped to 8.0 speed. A couple pins might get a little dicey in spots, but it's still a short course.

Petty you disgust me. That is all.
Oh and what a freaking course!!! This may be on a very short list of mine for replaying as my “home” course when I’m looking for a quick round.

Gave this one another spin. I really hope the LIDAR crash scares don't hold schedulers back from putting this one on tour.

This course is phenomenal and BY FAR the best version of Cypress in the game. Simply outstanding work per usual.
