Cypress Point Club is a private golf club in California. The club has a single 18-hole course, one of eight on the Monterey peninsula near Monterey, California. The course is well known for a series of dramatic holes that play along the Pacific Ocean that have been named as some of the best in golf. It was designed in 1928 by Alister MacKenzie, collaborating with fellow golf course architect Robert Hunter. Set in coastal dunes, the course enters the Del Monte forest during the front nine and reemerges to the rocky coastline for the finishing holes. The signature hole is #16, which requires a 231-yard tee shot over the Pacific to a mid-sized green guarded by strategically placed bunkers. Cypress Point Club was ranked #2 on Golf Magazine's 2011 List of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World and #5 on Golf Digest's 2011-12 list of America's 100 Greatest Golf Courses. Recommendations:Wind Speed - High or Very High Wind Direction - North or Northwest Everything else default. Greens are soft and 153 and if they go up any higher, it's gonna be a bad time. The weather and time of day especially I would leave at default. I have it set to where the clouds occasionally block the sun and if you happen to hit the inland holes when it's shaded and foggy, it's magical. Enjoy!

Well I feel stupid for going to work. Will fire this up first tonight. Thanks for taking the time to do this, I know creating a quality LiDAR course isn't easy with the frustrating loads and speeds of design. Looks like you have done it right. Edit: Yup. Dunked on em.

Just as I suspected. It's fabulous.
I caught the low light and mist in the forest too which was an unexpected bonus.
