I'm looking to port over one of my two remaining courses on TGC2 once I have finished The Swiss Wall. I want to gauge opinion which to do. (First?) Clayton Wood is my first ever design. It's a woodland course with some well laid out holes. However, I'm going to have to do a massive amount of work on the sculpting and bunkering and a lesser amount to the planting to bring it up to a TGC standard of some sort. Quirk Park is a hybrid course where every single hole has a quirk to it, ranging from moguls in the fairway to a wall in front of a green to a hole designed about mathematics to a monster hole over 1,000 yards. Due to the nature of the course it's very unlikely to ever be a Tour venue though it is certainly playable and is a cracking course if you want something different and away from the norm or to host a fun tournament. Please vote and I'll check the results in a couple of weeks. Any questions feel free to ask.

Quirk Park sounds like something different, it could be interesting to see it. (But i have not idea about both of them, i never played tgc2)
Anyway, i'm a bit curious. As your name says, you're a link lover. Do you have already tried to create a course that, just for you, it should be "your" perfect link course? (if you already did it,i'll play it with great pleasure) And, by the way, what is your preferred link course (real, but if there is a fictional one in this game that you love more, you can choose both of them)?

Angus Bay International is a links course I created and I will make another one at some point in the future. In fact, ABI has eight holes on it that are inspired by real life links holes I have played.
I don't play TGC as often as I would like. Links I have played that I really enjoyed are Prestnoch and Icyken's which I think is called Celtic Isles. I've yet to play Pablo's Laphroaig which people have said is outstanding.
In real life I've played a number of links courses with Hesketh, Hillside, Conwy and Royal St Davids standing out above the others I've played. I've never played at the home of golf, Scotland, yet though.

Understood. Thank you I asked cause i have a strange feeling with the links (in videogames, i mean, cause sadly i never had the chance to play golf in real life). It seems so hard to really catch the atmosphear of this kind of courses. I try always to play them with no scout cam (and it helps a lot, for me), but still the only that really stealed my heart is St. Andrews ( even if in this game is impossible to use a realistic clubhouse and this is a huge handicap) and the funny thing is that i still don't know why i love this course so much. Maybe cause is the first tournament (on the European Tour) i saw in tv when i started to love this game..i don't know.

A little bump up to see if there any late votes for this. The Swiss Wall will be published shortly after my holiday, so around mid July. Then I'll start working on this port.

Considering how much you love links, why you don't embrace the huge challenge of some rcr, like Cruden Bay, for example (it seems to be absolutely beautiful) or the Royal County Down? I'm sure that with your passion, you could create something beautiful.

Passion yes, time no. It's taken me over 3 (probably 4 or 5) months to be in a position to release The Swiss Wall next month. Do an rcr of anywhere would take me a year most likely. It's why I've never done my home course.

I totally understand. Same problem here. Is the main reason why I stay away from designing. I know I would like it..but considering how much time I could spend on minutiae, we will already playing tgc 2027 before the release of my first course

I'll have The Swiss Wall finished this week, but I'm not going to release it until after my holiday (I go on Friday). Then I'll start porting Clayton Wood. I better get the bulldozer on alert...
