I have been experimenting with making a course easy to par, hard to birdie, time will tell if I have succeeded or not. Changes from White tees, Theme change in addition the following: 1. Widened the fairways, and the just widened everything for more room for error. 2. Removed many trees. 3. Raised most of the bunkers 4. Removed extreme hazards. 5. Flattened the greens. To make it harder to birdie I made the following changes: 1. Conditions are firm and med-slow. This increases the roll-out but the ball still stops on the green leaving a longer putt. 2. Fairway slopes, many added, but still easily hittable, I want more people to be hitting from fairway lies, just not necessarily flat ones. 3. Greens are trickier to read and will not have uniform breaks but they are more than fair and will give far less 1 putts and more 2 putts for everyone. 4. More bunkers, many more bunkers. But let me not kid you, this will be a challenging track for all skill levels, max score is still out there, be careful. I hope you enjoy a challenge, if not skip it, it should be more fair then the white tees were though, but still tough. Have fun and play well. For you console users out there, open up your display settings in game and shut off depth of field, it looks better and all courses play better with less lag.

I am hardly a great player, but I tried this out today and shot a 71 (+1). I had 2 birdies, 1 bogey, and 1 double.
The course seemed like it was hard, but it wasn't that easy to tell since the winds were at least 15 MPH almost every shot. I definitely want to try this again with more reasonable winds. I broadcasted the round on twitch and 'm going to try to figure out how to put it onto youtube if you were interested in seeing how it played in crazy winds.
Also, I played on PS4 and didn't notice any stuttering.

I was trying to narrow the gap, I think I might of, but the sample size is small. I seen a few others play, no one seems to be killing it, and no one seems to be getting killed.

If you were interested in seeing how it played with a slightly above average player, the videos are below. I didn't think of recording it until I putted on the first hole, so that is where it begins.

Loving watching these, with the exception of a couple mental errors and your under 100% shots, it doing exactly as I hoped. Pars being easy, birdies being hard.
Those greens were hard to read no? But I'm sure you will admit they are not killer sloped, just hard to read. A ton of thought went into those greens.

The greens were tricky to read, but they weren't killer slopes or anything like that. I would much rather putt on greens with subtle breaks than greens with the huge side slopes.

Managed to score a 66 (-4) Steve, winds varying pretty much between 9 and 14. If I remember correctly I was @ -4 after 7 holes; after that two bogeys (11 & 18) and 2 more birdies. Birdied both par 5's.
I can see your two putt strategy. The relatively slow greens will let you have a go at birdie without worrying about a 3 putt too much. The slopes on the green prevent a birdie fest from happening .. at least in this round. Have to say I like it Steve .. makes me wonder what I can do if the winds drop to let's say 3 - 8. I'll definitely have another go at it.

Played this course again for a 2nd time, and shot -7. It should have been -8, but I missed a 3 foot putt when I wasn't paying attention (my only bogey)
The course was still playing firm, but I played everything shorter than normal and let it roll up. I was still left with some long putts, but not nearly as many as the first time.
It also helped that the winds were only 1-6 MPH the whole time. Made it much easier.

Yeah it's still possible to go low, but I would eat my hat if anyone did 4 rounds in a row.
