April 27, 2019 -- The day hell officially froze over. After swearing off the theme for forever and a year ... I finally made a desert/steppe course! Avondale American G&CC is now live and ready for play. It's a par 72-layout that stretches to nearly 7,600 yards from the tips. Fast and firm conditions greet the player as he winds his way through the Arizona desert. Enjoy! PICS: SCORECARD:

Will be streaming a round at Avondale at 9 pm ET after playing my Generations round for the week. May get my Diamond Cutters partners in crime to join in.

Just played my first round here
First things first (Bird Emoji)
Masterclass in sculpting here... Pay attention to every shot, plan your attack or your ball will be flying all over the place leaving you in bad position to score Jeremy is so good at those subtle nuances (Can you believe I can spell Nuance) and he did it in droves here... I found myself just whacking away the front 9 thinking well this is pretty straight forward and was -1 I believe at the turn....I settled down and began to properly play the course and plan my attack with every shot and blistered the back 9 at -7 .....
The sculpting stands out, hole 13 really stood out to me, from the tee, just masterful design here... absolutely gorgeous Hole 17 also is magnificent and you better play a good shot to pin 1 as danger is all around... I loved the planting here as well.. .Not overly done, fits and looks natural I thought.... Excellent work
That bridge right of what 4 or 5 good lord... LOL That was awesome
Spectacular work Mayo.... You sir are one heck of a designer.....
Give it a whirl gang but play smart, this sumgun cant bite cha..... lol

You sir are one heck of a designer..... Give it a whirl gang but play smart, this sumgun cant bite cha..... lol Terry I'm not sure which is more shocking ... that you can spell nuanced, or all the kind words placed in and around it Seriously though, thanks for the review. I definitely did want to make the golfer think a little bit both off the tee and into the green. In my playtesting (albeit most of it on PC), this course was a constant roller coaster for me. I'd be rolling along with a stretch of three of four birdies in a row then WAMO! Out of position and hopping on the bogey train. Or I'd be shuffling along and then get on a roll. 9 & 10 as back to back par 5s just kind of happened the way the routing went, but it can really be a springboard if you play those holes right. Funny you should mention 13. In the first iterations me and my chief art inspector (AKA Mrs. Mayday) HATED the way that hole looked. Was gangly and awkward. Wish I would have taken a screenshot, but it was pretty homely, especially coming off 12. Got the hair-brained idea to work the caynon in the background and, viola! And if I have to look at another cactus in the next two months, so help me ... Cheers!

The sculpting really does stand out here, nicely done! Fun course & I see that someone besides myself & seemingly just a few others actually spends the time to clean up cartpath's! Again very nicely done track!

Awesome course you have here Jeremy! I really enjoyed playing it so thanks for designing it That’s a great scorecard, Daniel ... and the birdie on 18, very impressive! That hole’s easily a par 4.5.

That bridge Jeremy gave me chills, I would never cross that in real life, this thing about heights you know... oh yeah and the course is awesome too, I could have finished with a decent score if not for the 10 spot on the 1st par 5, hole 4 i think? Shot a +3 in the end. Hole 17 is gorgeous, wow!!! And that bridge, did I mention the bridge and I second the comment on the cartpath, thanks for taking the time to smooth it out, nothing ruins the look of a course worse than an uneven path. Great job bud 5*****

WOW! Wild and I like it a lot. The fairways match the waste bunker hills perfectly. Amazingly untamed.

Just played it again but this time for my YouTube channel (not a showcase) and it just keeps getting better and better and better and better. It is now one of my favourites and if you know me i can be quite fussy when it comes to what goes in there.
Again, well done to Jeremy!
