Simon, you're my hero! Now for some terrible solo scoring to mess up my week Epic teamwork LKeet6 (Leon)... seriously, 3 points from 4 will ding dang do for me mate. Lovin' the write-ups too honeybadger64 - "wordsmith extraordinaire" Gonna listen to Oasis - Champagne Supernova on a loop now while I work on my latest course design..... You guys better take it easy on the champagne until after rounds 3 and 4. Now you guys have me solo and I'm going to be playing pissed off after those first 2 rounds. So I'm either going to shoot more normal to my expectations or continue to be a trainwreck 😀😀

It appears the new Dirtbags have 'come to play'.
When giving your scores, if you have something you want to share, good or bad, let us know. This could give the reporters added insight into your rounds.
What a start to the season! Two one hole wins and a tie in our first 3 matches. I know it won't stay that way always but I will take it.
The course write up reporters honeybadger64 Greg and Hunter B Hunter are doing a great job, and we haven't even heard from the 'godfather' of write-ups Celtic Wolf Pat yet.
hoosierjoe Joe, keep up the good play. We lost a heartbreaker. I will get my 2nd round in sometime today.
Loftyando Leon, keep up the good play this week, my friend, and we will see you up in CC-C next week.

Well, Bill approached the first tee and thought, "well, the Bill's Brigade has grown since yesterday!" Upon a closer look, the the flags were English and Canadian flags. They had come to see the real golfers sid snott Paul, the 'rock star' Bradford and jroffey Canadian James Roffey. They figured another 'butt whippin' was on the way and they wanted to see Bill get his. Well I did not disappoint. Tempo issues that plagued me in round 1 was there in full force in round 2 OR maybe it was the 'old as dirt' Bill's nerves. The front nine's scorecard showed 4 birdies and a bogey for a 32 or -3. The back side was a horror show. Bogies at 11 and 14 with a double bogey at the par 3 13th after ripping a ball in the drink shook the old man. Birdies at 10 and 16 softened the blow but the final nine showed a +2 37. Overall a -1 69. hoosierjoe Joe I will apologize now because I am the sure the rock star and the Canadian whipped our butt again and it is my fault.

I started the 3rd round off with 5 birdies in a row and dreams of a promo mark, but 6 through to 9 provided a wake up call for me. That knocked the wind out my sails and the pars came flooding in with back to back birdies regaining my round some respectability. I've not had any problems with the greens as others have although my stats might tell a different story. I think the course could favour master clubs as some fairways were just too risky to hit with pro clubs without clubbing down.

Well, I posted a 68 (-3)... so it's not as if I lit the world on fire either. I had two slow back swings at very inopportune times (there is something about this course that pulls those out for me), and I really struggled with the slow greens. I'm gonna spend some time on the practice greens before I go out for 3 & 4. Not that it will help as I've been struggling with putting for months now.

I think the course could favour master clubs as some fairways were just too risky to hit with pro clubs without clubbing down. I felt it was a master club course even of the black tees, some tee shots the carry was just to far for pro clubs to make so you needed to club down which meant a long iron into a lot of greens. The only compensation were the two drivable par 4’s that proved too tempting for me to pass up and in my last round I walked of the 5th with a 10 😞 then an 8 on a par 5.

My 4th round is finished and I'm sitting in the clubhouse having a few beers feeling very happy with my score.
I shot a -9 [61] with 10 birdies, 7 pars and 1 bogey. My bogey came on the par 5 12th hole when my 2nd shot bounced into the drink. I mishit my dropped shot to short of the green and then a badly played chip shot left me with a 15 to 20 foot putt for par which I missed.
The bogey dropped my score to -4 after 12 holes but I managed to birdie the next 5 holes to finish with -9.
I had a look at my stats after the tournament and it was definitely my putting that produce a total score of 37 under. My key event stats were FIR 87.50%, GIR 66.67%, Short putt accuracy 100%, medium putt accuracy 100% and long putt accuracy 52.78% and proximity to hole to approx. 35 foot.
Hopefully I will gain my last promotion mark to move up to CC-C next tournament

LoftyandoIf that week doesn’t get you promoted there’s no justice. I’m sure I’ll be chasing you in the coming tournaments. Any points I manage to pick up this time will be almost certainly the product of your efforts rather than mine. I should of waited to play later in the week, because like the Boomtown Rats it would appear ‘I don’t like Mondays’

So happy I can put that laggy piece of trash pick of a course in my rearview.
Put up respectable scores but hard to be focused when the ridiculousness of the course blinds one from properly playing.

It def is an interesting course. I hate those super slow greens. I haven’t started my 3rd round yet, please tell me the greens are running at 119 anymore.

Scores for rd 2. -7 for the rd. Bogey on 7 Pars on 1, 2, 4, 6, 11, 14 & 16 - 18 Birdies on 3, 5, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13 & 15. Bill thinks I'm a bit of a "Rockstar". Wish I was, but I have no musical talent. Maybe I should go on the X- factor, could go far?? As for the golf , not looking to bad. In side the top twenty in CC-B at the moment, but there's two more rds to go and that can change. " Nickleback"

sid snott Paul the only person I please when I sing is myself. You and James are playing great this week. The carnage is over for me this week.
3rd round +4 Master clubs only 1 p\p swing for the 18 holes. 4th round -5 pro -9 for the week. I think the course 'broke me'. (snickers)
I will probably leave the week with the same # of points I started with.

Match # 3, Round 2 Total stroke
Bill Owensby (CC-C) & Joe Gates (CC-C) vs James Roffey (CC-B) & Paul Bradford (CC-B)
Round 2 got started with 3/4 of the players taking a quiet par, except for Mr. Roffey. Roffey cards the lone birdie on hole number 1 to pick up where the duo left off yesterday and started UP 1 after one. That lead remained unchanged until a bogey from Owensby on the 4th opened up the opportunity for Roffey & Bradford to go UP 2 with a pair of pars. The CC-B team both bogied #7 which brought the match back to UP 1 after Owensby drops the only par putt. Gates carded a par on the 9th which would prove costly as everyone else birdied. The match goes out with Roffey & Bradford now UP 2.
Players chose to try the seafood at the Harbour during the clubhouse break. Perhaps sticking to the dogs and a few suds would have been a better choice, because play would be as unsettling as their stomachs for Owensby & Gates during the back 9. After Bradfords par putt fell on the 11th, the match was now UP 3. The Duo rattled off a birdie brigade, taking consecutive holes on 12, 13, and 14 to put the match out of reach.
Roffey & Bradford win 6 & 4
Roffey (4pts), Bradford (4pts), Owensby (0pts), Gates (0pts)

Round 1 Match 2 Four ball better ball
Hunter Butler (66) & Nate Myers (67) vs Leon Anderson (62) & Greg McMillan (71)
Amidst some commotion, a ruddy faced, out of breath Nate Myers pushed his way through the crowds around the first tee. The contents of his golf bag spilling onto the course in his haste. In a tour first, he presented a note from his mother asking the Dirtbag League to excuse his tardiness but the car wouldn't start this morning and it wasn't really his fault.
Like a caged tiger Leon proved that indeed men do thunder when they come from a Land Down Under. His opening birdie put the Rest of the World pairing one up. The second was halved in birdie before the Americans squared the match with birdies on the par-5 3rd hole. Nate and Leon matched each other's birdies on the next two before Hunter birdied six to give them the advantage. The RoWers hit back with another Leon birdie on seven before Greg introduced himself to the match with a birdie on 8. With everyone parring the ninth the match turned for home finely balanced, one up to the RoWers.
The 10th witnessed yet another Anderson birdie which was cancelled out by Hunters reply on the 12th. With Hunter in the hole for birdie on the tricky par-3 13th, and Leon missing his putt, the sadly out of form McMillan sank his birdie for the half. Taking advantage of this rare moment of clarity Anderson birdied the next to put them two up and four to play. The Americans dug deep and both of them birdied both of the next two holes but in true better ball dovetailing, the RoWers managed one each for halves. Dormie 2 on the 17th somehow Leon found a birdie and when he found trouble on the closing hole the erratic Greg matched Nate's par to close out the match winning by three holes.
Another very decent match, that was only settled late on. McMillan could only thank the gods of the blind draw for pairing him with the red hot Aussie. Hopefully a visit to the garage will avoid a repeat of the car problems for tomorrow's 4 ball total score round.
Anderson & McMillan beat Butler & Myers 6 pts to 3 pts Leon Anderson (2pts) Greg McMillan (2pts) Hunter Buttler (0pts) The Late Nate Myers (0pts)
