Nice change of pace this week. Easier course + conditions, balanced out by all the new talent coming in to make it all **much** harder.
-12 & -14 for my opening salvo's. Safely inside the cut, but I doubt I will be troubling the top10 positions this week. I think there were 5 genuine eagle chances in R2 - I only took one of them. Coulda woulda shoulda been so much better...

Wow wow wow. -19 misses the weekend that’s a record. Euro tour just got real. That 5th mark just got a little further from reach. I Feel fortunate just to have made the cut. Haven’t played my third rd yet. It’s going to take a really low number to get back in the top 10 conversation for r4. Seems unlikely but the low scores are definitely out there.

Won't get my 5th promo mark this week, but I do appreciate where the Euro is after the promo event. The conditions were pretty easy this week, and that hasn't been the case in previous events. -41 is usually contending, and almost always a Top 10. This could get really interesting now, and that is how it should be.
See you all next week!

The course and conditions are a (much easier) change of pace, but you still have to compete. It's just as much pressure knowing you must shoot in the 50's to make a top 25. Looks like -20's will make the cut. I was able to put up a -15 -13 for -28 at the cut. It's hard to feel to good about it because I know I have to do that 2 more times to maybe get my first promo mark all season. Not sure I've got it in me
I too like having all the new players up here. It will add some much needed depth. We were only averaging 115 players per event, and we're already at 140 this week with another day to post. It will take some very solid play to promote from this new field.
Update: Round 3 -12. I'm pleased with the round considering I pared all 4 par 5's. ouch!
-15 -13 -12 -40 after 3 rounds. I think I'll wait till Friday to finish up. would love a top 10, but looks more like a top 25.

Meh. Practiced this morning to get loose and shot a -17, everything clicking. Got breakfast, did errands, came back and shot a -9. Tempo was fine just out of no where i started getting 95% swings. Normally not an issue with me but it left me frustrated. I'll make the cut with a -23 but I got work to do if I'm going to make the top 10. Thank goodness for a great first round.

Really easy conditions in rd3 and I just couldn't get it going at all. Especially at the front 9 just couldn't get them close enough and the middle long putts missed by an inch on multiple holes. Just one of those rounds. Ended up -8 and -30 after 3 so any chance on a great result is more or less gone but honestly I'm happy that I made the cut after promoting last week.

Well I needed a really low round 3 to get back in the top 10 conversation and I did it with a -14. Decided to keep it rolling and went ahead to r4 but apparently I’d fired all my ammo. R4 par’d the first 5 holes and it was kind of over from there. A mixed bag of some slow upswings creeping in leaving me lengthy birdie putts and a couple short putts that just happened to stop at the worst angle relative to the hole, requiring nearly as much break as length. That’s one area of my game I feel like I maybe should pay more attention to. I’m usually just trying to go for stone dead tight to the hole but perhaps there’s something to be said in some situations to be more mindful of leaving it under the hole. I just often find when I do that that I take it too far and end up with 25 footers all day.

Coming into Round 3 I knew I'd have to average -13 for the final two rounds to have a shot at the top 10. Midway though the 3rd round I knew that chance had gone. I had 8 shots of 95% which killed any chance to make that mark. Not sure where these are coming from. Zero issues with tempo but I suppose if it isn't tempo it is 95% shots and if both of those are perfect, I'll be out of the cone or something. Like many have stated my strengths are not shooting super low on easy courses. I play better when I snag a birdie with a good shot or a long putt on a hole everyone else might be making par. I can't remember the last sub -55 tournament I had and I figured that mark would be what would be needed to win. I was close, -58.

My tournament petered out somewhat, finishing with a -10 & -6 for -42 total.
Like Ron, I likes ‘em hard 🤭... but another enjoyable event tho - very different from last week 👍
Gratz to James on the win - tho I doubt he’ll see this as he’s clearly just passing through...

I thought I’d sh%$ the bed in R4 as it felt like a struggle, but managed to go -4 on the last 3 holes to give me the chance. Just one of those weeks when you get that bit of luck that edges it your way.
There’s A LOT of very good players in this game, and especially in the European tour after the promotion event. So it really is a lottery as to who will win each week. Good luck to everyone for the rest of the season.
