Started off the round not realizing I had not switched my DPI over from computer mode to golf mode and promptly shanked it far left into the rough. Second shot came up short of the green but I chipped in for a birdie. I knew it would be a very interesting round. Started off very slow, had a very silly bogey on #5 and was only -2 when I hit the first par 5 7th hole. Hit a nice approach and made a good downhill putt for the eagle. On the driveable par 4 I managed to do something I have never done in this game. I holed it out from the tee for a hole in one, net albatross. I hit the shot like i wanted with a slow downswing to get some extra yardage, hit the spot I wanted and it just rolled perfectly onto the green and into the cup. Made a silly par on the par 5 9th.
Back nine I missed a couple of good opportunities, including a and put in a 36 foot huge curling putt on #18 for eagle to finish -14. I'm very happy with the score but it is a sour tasting feeling. Shouldn't have bogeyed, should have birdied the 9th, shouldn't have missed the short eagle putt, but then again I made up strokes with the albatross and the huge eagle putt. I'm blown away that a -14 is only tied for 6th on the leaderboard. We got a lot of seriously good golfers out there.
Strangely on the leaderboard it says my longest hole out was the chip in from #1 of 10 yards. LOL. I guess it doesn't count hole in one's from a par 4. Looking at my score 1/2 of my -14 is from three holes!!!

Heh. Naw, I hit a good shot and got really lucky it bounced right and rolled in. I wasn't getting the bounces last week so I figure I'm owed a few more.

-8,-8,-13,-11 = -40
Looking at the scores it looks like my -16 very much is in danger of making the cut unfortunately. Second cut missed in a row..

Welcome to all promo players! Interesting event this week with the influx of talent and I think it’s fair to describe the conditions as almost shootout conditions. As a side note it would be interesting if they went full shootout some random week....easy course, low winds, short tees.
For those new, while the cut line does vary, id say that range is usually something like -9 to -12, give or take. This week will be on the more extreme side. I’m guessing -16 is borderline. I do not think the r2 scores will be as good as r1. Maybe it was just me but I felt that despite it being the same conditions, the pin positions were noticeably more difficult. The in game leaderboard seemed to agree, but that thing has mislead me before.
Anyway I put up -12/-10 for -22 at the cut which will easily make it but for as low a number as that is compared to most weeks I doubt it’ll even be top 20 this time.

-11, -10 for -21 after 2 rounds. Played solid golf with only a few mistakes. Especially on the 12. hole, 3 putt in both rounds for bogey. But they are my only bogeys so far. Hope -21 will make the cut, then i will be happy with my first tournament in the pro leagues.

Well in my Euro Tour debut this week I started off well and felt like I was hitting a stride. I posted a Round 1 (-12) and Round 2 (-8) to get to (-20) and last night had to play Rounds 3 & 4 because I am leaving for a week tomorrow.
Round 3 went very well, tempo was on and putts were dropping. Cruised my way to a (-13) to get to (-33) for 3 rounds.
I should have gone to bed at that point because it was 11:30pm and I was way too tired to play but I didn't have any other time available. I teed it up and my tempo was everywhere. I was +3 standing on 8 tee box and kicking myself for attempting this. Managed to pull it together a bit at the end but what a roller coaster. 1 Double bogey, 4 Bogeys and I still managed a (-4) for the round, sheeesh.
So:
Round 1: (-12) Round 2: (-8) Round 3: (-13) Round 4: (-4) Total: (-37)
Disappointed with that finish but happy to be playing with the big kids on Euro!
Cheers!

I‘ll see where i stand at the end of the week.

Coming over from web and happy with my first 2 round and - 22 should be save. First round lot of FIR and GIR but too many putts, -9. Round 2 too many missed greens but almost every ball on the green went in including 2 for eagle on 7 and 9. Which brought me to a nice -13. good luck all

59 59 59 63 for -48 total. Normally would feel like a lock for top 10 but not sure this week. Side note to all the new players on tour: Welcome, but don't get comfortable with the easy conditions... I'm kind of scared about what Mr Vinegar has for us next week lol. We're probably due 4 rounds with very high wind and very slow greens.

I'm kind of scared about what Mr Vinegar has for us next week lol. We're probably due 4 rounds with very high wind and very slow greens. I thought the same thing as far as the new arrivals LOL...this has to be the easiest conditions we've had this season. I feel like maybe one other week was similarly shootout-ish but generally it's common for all 4 rounds to be on High or Very High and/or concrete greens and cuts to be -10 to -12. I'm the only one who likes slow greens it seems which is how I snuck a win a few weeks back. Bring on the 119! LOL Learn your meter mph if you're coming from CC! Back in the day I actually loaded up youtube on my work PC (was really busy clearly) and took screen shots of each mph 1 thru 19mph and organized them to print on the same page so I could reference it. I kept it handy for a couple weeks and now I've memorized it enough that I don't need it, but not having the mph was definitely a bit of a shocker in the first couple weeks since I'd played with it for so long and it was such an integral part of my pre-shot calculations. I never did find any videos of anyone playing on very high winds but once I figured out the top is 25 mph and knowing where 19 is, I can get close enough. I've generally got bigger problems when I'm facing a very high winds shot than whether it's 21 or 23...if I'm wrong about that it's as likely to help as it is to hurt.

Even the difference between 0 and 4mph.. there is always some wind on the meter so at the low end too, you can easily find yourself 20 feet short or long.
