I got the dreaded double strike last week and fell out of the top 50 in the world. I had some unforeseen things come up last week and was able to get my first round in but then couldn't play anymore. Also missed out on the XB1 tour as well. So last week didn't go too well at all. However, trying to get back in to the swing of things and so far thru 2 rounds it's going pretty well. Shot a -12 round 1 and followed it up with a -13 in round 2 for -25 at the cut. Only 2 strokes back! Which is pretty good and I need to find some good form going into the playoffs starting next week. So we'll see if we can work it out for the final 2 rounds. I'm seeing some other good scores on XBOX on the PGA tour as well too. Keep it up fellas!

golfin247 has started a new society using a College Golf format, where teams of 5 players battle it out against other teams. The 4 lowest scores from each team getting counted towards the team total. You play 3 rounds per week in 'NCAA Golf' society on Xbox. Look it up! If you want to get involved and be allocated to a team, or build your own then sign-up using the link below; tgctours.proboards.com/thread/19551/ncaa-college-golf-society-ideaNice one gents! 🏌🏌🏌🏌🏌

Well guys didn't quite get to the -50 that my goal was for the tournament but got to -49 which may be enough for an elusive top 10 on PGA TOUR. We'll see how it holds up tomorrow!

Yeah well played mate! I was a couple back from you after 2 rounds but couldn't keep up after having to rush through my last 2 rounds earlier tonight. Putting wasn't there and missed a lot that I shouldn't have missed. Hopefully should sneak into the FedEx cup playoffs though 🤞

Someone posted a method on here where he drops down low and looks at each line individually and uses a counting method I’ve tried it but it’s way to slow for me. I do drop down low and try and gauge how much break I’m going to get but to me it’s mostly about getting the pace right, I miss a load that finish directly behind the hole indicating that I’ve hit it a bit to hard.

Everyone just uses what's best for them. For me, if I can see all the beads on a putt, regardless of distance then I rarely even adjust the view. I just watch all the beads without moving the cursor for a couple or so seconds, see my line, adjust to it and make the putt (hopefully with the right pace!). I also only adjust the cursor left or right and putt the pace by feel. I use higher views (use Y then left trigger and the stick) of the beads when putting from distance or when I need to inspect multiple speeds of beads, double breakers or multiple breaks. How consistently straight you can keep the line in the cone is vital; 1. It gives you the best result to your green reading. 2. You will see how to correct your putt reading over time if you keep missing high or low. 3. You will get the truest possible roll from the putt. Another tip if you're over 50 foot and there's no green grid is to use the lie camera and bring up the lie around your feet on the green. I also use this when I'm in between break lines and want some extra beads to help read a putt. What is yourgamertag? I'll be happy to play a round with you sometime and see if I can help. I'm sure some of the other guys will gladly give you tips on how they putt too. I'm always interested to add to my own game too! Everyday is a school day! 😉

I miss more left to right breakers than right to left which is the opposite to what I used to do which the first two games.

Everyday is a school day! 😉 These are all good advice on putting for sure. Like Benny mentioned it's all about getting a straight line putting. At least something that's consistent even if it's not perfectly in the middle of the blue so you can tell exactly how your reads are or if you need to adjust. I putt completely by feel. I just visualize, move it quickly and go. I'm a pretty solid putter and I'd say it's just from doing it so much. Slower the greens the less break you play and the faster the greens the more break you'll need to play. Just really practice those 15-20 footers. Those make all the difference, especially with XB1 players because our proximity won't be as good as PS4. Once you see enough you'll start feeling really confident as long as you can hit the putt on your line consistently

Looks like it's a T7 for me this week which is my best finish on tour in a main PGA event. That should go a long way to help me move forward in the playoffs. Which is the goal now to play in the tour championship. Keep firing at it guys! Let's finish strong!

Wow, just wow! 3 days I've been trying to finish this 1st round of the PGA and kept quitting because the tempo is like nothing I've ever experienced. I thought if I quit it might sort itself out. What a waste of time. 4 PP approaches for the whole round, and shock horror I birdied those holes. 3 double bogeys and 2 bogeys added to the pain. I honestly for the 1st time ever feel like deliberately leaving it and getting the withdrawal from the event. Tempo has been pretty decent as of late but this round had the most VF and slow downswings I've ever had. Pitches, flops, chips the bloody lot. Absolutely pointless playing it when it's like that. Really annoyed because played the course before and really like it. Love the greens, tough but fair. A couple too many stupidly long par 4's but apart from that a decent course. Good luck to those who haven't played yet or who have made the cut.

I know I've been there for sure. Also, I noticed you played the second round and it appears that one went much better. May be a missed cut, but that doesn't change the talent you still have man. Keep working on it and it'll only get better. You're playing very well on the PGA tour and I bet next year will be even better for you man. Also, you're killing it on CUCC, so don't think you're still not playing well after that one round. Keep battling dude!

Still squeezed a double bogey and a bogey in that 2nd round but that was more on me because I was chasing a low score. Tempo was ok for the second round. That first round just obviously hated me and was never going to give me any good tempo. Have a good 2nd round bud 👌🏌

I really really could have shot anywhere from -8 to -10. I doubled 2 holes on bad mistakes. But I'm inside the cut line which is good. I hope to shoot well in the 2nd round tonight so that I can try to make a top 25 this week as well. The key is to make the cut this week to make next week's event or be in the top 50 of the FedEx Cup (I'm currently sitting at 51). So the first round helped me be on the way to accomplishing making the cut (Currently at -6 and the cut is also at -6). I had a little something weird in my swing last night so hopefully I'll correct that tonight. Thanks for the well wishes BENNY6676! Good luck to everyone else still to finish up their rounds!
