Off and away on Chambers bay. Such a fun course. All about course management. Stayed out of the bad spots for the most part except for hooking one down the abyss left of the green on one.
Pretty happy with -2 in the windy conditions.
* Apologies for the crappy sound, some filter and mic issues.

Ok here's the final leaderboard for Week 1 at Oakmont, congrats to smiffy and darvaan for the tied victory! Ranking points are in the final column, and more detailed stats including FIR, GIR, scrambling and all kinds of putting goodies will be posted tomorrow Great job! Just a note: my R4 should be 64. Total -13 is correct. I'm going to watch your r1 @ Chambers Bay π

Onto Chambers Bay for R1 and R2. Talk about undulating greens. If youβre not on the right tier, itβs a tough two putt. First round was playing catch up most of the time at +2. Some really good up and downs and lag putts saved this one. Brain fart on last, missed the tap in for par and bogeyed it to finish +3.
R2 Good start right out the gate and birdied the par 5. Was able to get into a groove on the front and made the turn at -5. Forget which hole, but left the ball above the hole and missed a quick putt for bogey down the hill for the only mistake on the scorecard. Birdied three of the last four to finished at -7 and -4 at the halfway mark.
Toughest for me to gauge is the distance on the long uphill and downhill putts with putting marker off. More of a feel putting stroke than anything. Note to self, just hit it close. π Really enjoying this so far!
Up to 6 players now on the Xbox!

Well a -1 second round gets me back to E at the halfway point. 1 eagle, 4 birdies, 5 bogeys. My scrambling stats will take a hit this week.
This is the new true hardcore TST. Hope some more players embrace it and play it proper, there is nothing else like it.
This thread should get its own sticky!

Cough, cough!! should be 76 final round for me not 73 Larry π. Great stuff though π Cheers, fixed Now, here is the main ranking and stats table, green highlight means you're above the medium for that particular stat. T This will be cumulative and posted in the OP of this thread each week (note firstly that proximity wasn't calculated, some kind of issue with Oakmont, but it works with Chambers so it'll be fine from next week. Also PC stats include mine, woody's, mcbogga's and hammers1man's ones from the initial ultra sim period as I didn't think to create a new society season, we're basically about the same as then so no biggie):

After a miserable +10 round 1, I finished -1 for Round 2! I'll be shooting in the 50's by round 4 Missed a few putts that I should have made, but overall, I am pretty happy with my score. Some of these par 3's are majestic, watching the ball off the tee without follow cam.

Played my first tournament on the Ultra Sim Experience I did enjoy playing enjoyed watching the ball from the tee going down the fairway, liked not using the loft box and donβt mind putting with the marker off. What I didnβt like is watching the shots going onto the green from the point of view of the player I prefer to see my ball landing on the green hitting a slope Iβve aimed for and kicking down towards the flag, it took the fun out of it for me. I can understand how you lads like it but itβs not for me.

Personally I can't see myself going back to TST's marker only and loft box settings when ultra sim plays much more realistically to me.
