A rework of yavapai point, hoping to get some community feedback to make this the best it can be.
Hole 1 is a straightforward positional hole.
Choose your yardage and take your birdie. Don't get greedy.. unfortunate someone dropped bunkers at 100, 125, and 150 yards. Hole 2 is similar, you can see the green from the tee but not on approach, so take in that massive false front before heading down. If you're feeling giddy you may be able to get your tee shot in the bowl, the penalty for missing is high
the 13th is a rather daunting par 3 that strives to find the hole in your long game. A birdie here is definitely a stroke gained
the flagship par 5 isn't very long, especially considering the elevation change, but 2 quick blasts won't get it done here. A rock tightens up the landing area and the wise will take a hybrid off the tee. Being bold can pay big dividends though..
this straightforward looking par 3 is anything but. A very difficult green requires precision play to capitalize.
down in the meadow we find the final par 3. Again you'll need to pay close attention to the green or even use it to coerce the ball to where you want it this tame looking far 4 sits sandwiched between 2 par 5s, providing serious opportunity to score big to close out your round. At 280, how could you not go for it? The greens runs off on the left though, and up and downs are not easy here. Chad thundercock got the eagle, and exactly how I drew it up. You can too
Notes to myself:
Suggested sets. Pin 1 se wind, very high. Makes some of the par 4s clearly reachable and thus more interesting. Par 5s more difficult except 18 which is now driveable, bay hill style.
Pin 4 nw very high. Fighting for pars. Question mark driveable. 17 very interesting. 18 very daunting. My score.. +1
