Meaningless to use individual subjective descriptions of the experience, the only thing we are absolutely sure about is masters tempo is way, way more difficult on XB1 (but not pro clubs, I always cringe when XB1 pro club players talk about difficulty because pro clubs on XB1 are easier than the other 2 platforms, it's only with master's that they are utterly screwed), based on the stats Jeff posted across all players. Perfect downswings on PS4: 77% Perfect downswings on PC: 68% Perfect downswings on XB1: 46% And this particular comment from Jeff really brought home the reality of how insane the difference is for XB1 players: Since these figures were produced, there have been one, or two updates...? I forget. So that is old reference data isn’t it? It also doesn’t take into consideration those that actually play for fasts. I’d say I actually play for them on at least 25% of my shots. I can’t be alone. That said, I’d like to see how difficult I find Xbox tempo. Difficult tempo is one thing. Random tempo is another and I’m not sure what Xbox has. HB never even acknowledged the issue let alone mentioned an update to fix it. They don't even care, to them multiplatform is a TGCT problem. The deliberate fast downswing hypothesis is nonsensical because it requires believing that XB1 players are going for deliberate fasts at an order of magnitude higher rate than the other platforms. This is a rare situation, in a game filled with suspicion, speculation and innuendo about fairness problems, where it's unequivocally clear from the objective data that XB1 players legitimately have a much harder time than the other platforms and it's simply not a level playing field. On master clubs at least, with pro clubs for some ridiculous reason they actually have it easier than the other 2 platforms lol

Another enjoyable stroll around the RRCC courses this week assisted greatly by far and away my best week I've had since joining. The tempo was on song and the putt's were dropping!! If only I could replicate this is my TGCT rounds!
Mount Garibaldi was a lovely scenic experience. Kooringal Farms I struggled hitting the greens but was saved by some better than normal (for me) chipping. And finally Gosbery Island, while the front 9 had me a bit sea sick it gave plenty food for thought in approaching the greens.
As always, thanks to edi_vedder for providing an enjoyable and diverse golf experience. Roll on Week 11.

Grats on the excellent round, Ben!
Mt. Garibaldi was beautiful, I love mountains in the morning mist! But I struggled greatly with tempo issues. I spent most of the round completely baffled, as to why I was getting very slows when I felt like I was hitting fast, and very fasts when I felt like I hit it slow, and everything in between. Tempo was so inconsistent I had no idea what to do.
But because of a very good night of putting, with some good old fashioned luck, I somehow managed to finish with a +1, and was happy with it. lol

Course 1: Fairways Of Mt Garibaldi : -7 Very enjoyable, dug the foggy mountainscapes. Course 2: Kooringal Farms : -6 Liked it, refreshing to play a course that is challenging and enjoyable without lots of big elevation changes. Course 3: Gosbery Island Retreat : -6 Very nice, made me think of the South Carolina lowlands. Also liked it because of this: Giraffe72 maybe I get a mention in your recap this week since I otherwise am the foundation that keeps the rest on top of the leaderboard. As usual, another fine collection of courses. HUZZAH RRCC admins!!

Kind of struggled with course #1, Garibaldi. The distances are quite long for almost every hole, which combined with the strong winds settings, makes life difficult. The course is also kind of curvy, has some nasty trees on your way... A demanding course, all together. I guess that players with the extra yardage of master clubs will do better here.
Played couse 2 immediately afterwards and the usual effect occured: after playing a demanding course, switching to a more avarage and "fair" field usually equals to good scores. -8 for me here.
Looking forward to course 3 to see if I have a chance at the points.

Just a heads up, there will be no results this week due to time constraints. We'll get a double header for weeks 9 and 10 to you next week.
