Evening all, the results for week 7 are in! It's the penultimate week of our second tournament this season, The Who Gives A Flick Invitational. I personally favourited all 3 courses this week, even though it seems we had 14 and a half rage quits on the last course! Take the unplayable people! Week 7 was played at: San Simoleon Golf Club / Delta / by David Jensen Ocean Perpetual Golf Club / Highlands / by Adam Benjamin Ave of the Giants Black / Boreal / by David Dix Results (71 Players)
1. blueorfe Bradley Garcia (PS4) -372. B.Smooth13 Justin Smedley (PC) -36 3. gavlaar124 Gavin McCabe (PS4) -35 Best RoundsSan Simolean -16 B.Smooth13 Justin Smedley (PC), gavlaar124 Gavin McCabe (PS4), jakierobo85 Jacob Robotham (PS4), shrek4475 Nigel Bowles (PS4) Ocean Perpetual -15 blueorfe Bradley Garcia (PS4), B.Smooth13 Justin Smedley (PC) Ave of the Giants -13 stallion860 Steve Dikens (PC)Tight at the top this week, with WGR1 Bradley Garcia taking his second win this season just one shot ahead of tournament leader Justin Smedley. One further shot behind them is our top Euro player, Gavin McCabe taking his second top 3 finish of the season. There are two Challenge Circuit players in the top 10 but we'll come to them in a minute, top Web player this week was daviddlee David Lee (PC) in 18th place. So the tournament is pretty close going in to the double points week 8, Justin Smedley still leads the way but a great round at Ave of the Giants from Steve Dikens has kept him in touch just 17 points back. The chasing pack is led by Euro player TAGROCKET Don Tagariello (PC) in 3rd, with a whole bunch of players just behind him with a top 3 finish in their sights. Hard not to see one of the top two taking the tournament win but we've seen stranger things happen! ProAm Results (36 Players)
1. pc17 Phil Crampton (PS4) -292. BIELSALUFC Paul Seldon (Xbox) -28 3. Crazy Croc Marc Van Niekerk (PC) -25 Best RoundsSan Simolean -13 pc17 Phil Crampton (PS4), Crazy Croc Marc Van Niekerk (PC), knothead85 Brandon Carroll (PS4) Ocean Perpetual -10 pc17 Phil Crampton (PS4), ThePheniiix Titi Vivi (PS4), maison Baz Mayes (PS4) Ave of the Giants -12 Crazy Croc Marc Van Niekerk (PC) The ProAm tournament has been blown wide open with the players in 3rd and 4th taking the top two spots this week. Phil Crampton has 3 previous top 3 finishes and now takes an overdue first win, just one shot ahead of Paul Seldon who also takes his 4th top 3 finish. Current tournament leader Marc Van Niekerk takes his 5th top 3 finish in 7 weeks a further 3 shots back in 3rd. It's been a really interesting 4-way battle in the ProAm so far this season between these 3 and verney Fabrice Pillet (PC), although hlswinger Randy Cleveland (PC) did get in amongst it this week beating Fabrice in to 5th. Marc and Fabrice are still the top two in the tournament standings going in to the final week, but Phil and Paul are now breathing down their necks after this week's points. Paul Seldon won the first tournament from 4th place going in to the final week, will history repeat itself? And...... I got some points!! Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day. Week 8 is still live, never too late to sign up, 3 more brilliant courses to play. Thanks as always to everybody who played this week and congrats to everyone who got a tag for any reason. Good luck in Week 8 and in the Promotion event if you're playing it. That's going to keep me busy updating the players list next week and could well shake up our ProAm leaderboard a bit. All results and standings below: Full Results
ProAm Results Thanks for the tag Jamie but I didn't shoot -13 on Ave's of the Giants Black.I was -11.Sorry if this means a redo of your spreadsheet.Maybe I could keep the tag as best master club score for the course

Leaderboard and standings corrected. Not too much change, Crazy Croc now has the best round on the course (nice one Marc! ) and B.Smooth13 has an extra 10 points lead in the tournament.

Played week 8 last night. Liked the first 2 courses particularly. The second one required you to have good control of your stick as the fairways were mighty narrow in spots.
Was happy with every part of my game in round 1 except for 3 putting a hole from 12ft that could have given me an eagle. But instead got par. Missed yet another 6ft putt later in that round. I had either a -12 or -13. Was tied for 2nd on PS4 at the time.
Round 2 was the type of course I like. Tropical, sunny and lots of nice scenery. I played well, enough for a -14. Impressive for me considering that’s the same score Brad and a couple other legends had. I’ll take it.
Third round, I just could not catch a break. Balls were stopping short when I needed them to roll and rolling when I needed them to stop. One approach shot mysteriously went way right. I was hitting from the fairway, level ground and swing completely in the cone. All I can figure is somehow I must have accidentally moved target right about 10 yards?? Putter was cold too. Shot -9 which was 41st at the time.
Fun week, I just wanted to show up in round 3.

I played Boardwalk last night and just want to say I LOVE that course. Insta-fav. It is beautifully designed, and aesthetically amazing.

Art Vandelay I actually thought I was going to give you a run for your money this week. I was actually ahead of you I think, after the first two rounds!! I saw that -10 and thought, man, I've never done that good. If I can just shoot for -8, maybe I can tie or be close.
I started up R3, and going into hole 6 I was already at -3. I was thinking, wow, I keep up this pace, and I just might do it!
Alas. I hit the tee shot on the par 3 #6, and my thumb slipped off the controller in mid shot. It did land on the green, but it was like 150 ft away or something and uphill. But because I was on the green, I was forced to use my putter. I ended up triple bogieing the hole, because of being so far away with that steep of a slope. Bye bye 3 under....
After that, I don't know if it was mental state of messing up that hole so bad, or bad lag, or what, but my tempo and ability to hit the controller straight just went out the window. I couldn't get anything to go right after that. I finished even, but it was a struggle on every hole.
I should've stopped there, but I wanted to see if the tempo issues remained, so I went and did promo R3 just because I know I already don't have a shot at that one, and since it don't count against me, it wouldn't matter. Did the same thing, stated hitting the ball really good, was -1, which I thought was great for me on that course at around hole 5 or 6, and then totally lost it, its like the tempo just started going all over the place randomly, even though I felt I was hitting the same speed.
sigh, I'll get ya one of these days, buddy!

JosiaDB, TGCT rules, if you're more than 100 feet away on the green you don't have to putt. Bit late for this time but useful for the future!

Oh wow, I didn't realize that! all I can think of would be chipping a ball and tearing up the green.
I may have exaggerated when I said 150, but it was definitely far enough that I couldn't putt it that far uphill. it may have been the little 'suggested' meter marker thing that said 150. But when the max distance on the putter says 145, and you know you are hitting it as hard as the controller allows physically, and its rolling right back at you, then something else has to be done, right!
I can't remember this morning how I got it there, I think I eventually had it roll to the side where it got on the fringe, then I was able to use a wedge of some sort.
But thank you for that info, I'll be sure and remember that!!

Wanted to quickly chime in and say week 8 was a spectacular selection of courses, kudos Thomas for choosing them, and great work by those designers!
