That was a challenging course on Pro clubs this week. FIR was pretty good, and GIR was decent to over the 4 rounds but the greens were tricky without being ridiculous which was nice. R1 - 63 R2 - 65 R3 - 66 R4 - 6? - I'll leave it as a surprise Highlight was watching a tee shot on a par three role up to the hole in R1 and bounce off the pin. Thought I was getting my first ace on the game!

Round one was solid, lone bogey on 17 where I went sand, sand, 40 feet out and left par on the lip. Did bounce back on 18 to finish at -9.
Strangest thing happened, had the usual McCarthy commentary for the first 4-5 holes then he left the booth not to return. I know plenty turn his schtick off, but for those that don't has anyone else ever experienced this?
Onward!

But only when I am playing poorly!

Round 2 never got started. Stayed clean on the front but only 3 birdies. Gave back most of that with back to back bogeys to start the back, did rally a bit to finish -4.
-13 at the halfway point does not bode well for a finish without a demo red. Must rally.
Onward!

Disappointing drop-off after a good 63 (-9) on R1 this week, ending up with a 68 (-4), 70 (-2) and a shoddy 72 (E) for a -15 total. Will liely finish around the 100 position as per usual.
Course was OK except for the traditional dumbed-down 144 green speeds on I think it was the 3rd round. So condescending to have to put up with that. Every. Single. Week.

Round three was clean but barren. -3 69 does not much for this tourney and if my math is correct I lose 3 & 1 in singles in the Iron Cup. Sorry Team, was a total grind out there.
Onward!
Went ahead with round 4 when I should have called it a night.
+1 on the front, first dropped shots of the event for me on the outward half. Did manage to rally to a -4 finish. Pretty sad with -20 for four rounds of golf is middling.
Onward to next week!

I don't even feel like continuing in the latest event. Was a -3 after 5 holes and out of nowehere I get a very slow swing into the hazard and end up with a double bogey. Seems to be a pattern in this game where one swqing each round just goes haywire.

Seems to be a pattern in this game where one swqing each round just goes haywire. Don't get discouraged. Keep grinding. Things almost always get better, and being 3 under after 5 means it won't take much at all to get things turned in the right direction. To quote Arthur: Onward!

This week's tour stop is going to an exercise in perseverance at best. This is one tough, tough course.

Going forward, Iām really hoping more courses like Kass Mountain get picked for the tour. I just wish there was more lag, more trees thrown into the middle of the fairways, and more split fairways. šš»šš»

Since we've moved the CC-Pro Ryder Cup competition forward to Week 15, it means Week 16 is freed up. As all flights will be playing the same course and tees I thought it would be good to seize the opportunity to set something up.
If you are using Pro Clubs for the Promotion Event you'd automatically qualify as the highest you can reach is CC-A. Master Club users may join if they fail to reach PGA, Euro or Web tours. I don't know whether to do a straight forward tournament or a knockout where the highest scoring players in each round are knocked out.
We could have a sign up window open until Monday 18th say about 9pm GMT to give players a chance to find out what flight they're on. There would be no commitment to play all 4 rounds as it's an individual competition. I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to have a competition which covers all flights from CC-A to CC-Z.
Any thoughts?
