Since we've moved the CC-Pro Ryder Cup competition forward to Week 15, it means Week 16 is freed up. As all flights will be playing the same course and tees I thought it would be good to seize the opportunity to set something up. If you are using Pro Clubs for the Promotion Event you'd automatically qualify as the highest you can reach is CC-A. Master Club users may join if they fail to reach PGA, Euro or Web tours. I don't know whether to do a straight forward tournament or a knockout where the highest scoring players in each round are knocked out. We could have a sign up window open until Monday 18th say about 9pm GMT to give players a chance to find out what flight they're on. There would be no commitment to play all 4 rounds as it's an individual competition. I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to have a competition which covers all flights from CC-A to CC-Z. Any thoughts? I like it. If this is a CC wide event, why have a cut?

For example if we have 16 players the 4 highest scoring players are knocked out. Then in the 2nd round the 4 highest scores for the 2nd round are out and continue until there's 4 left in the final round. So basically a consistent player who scores -6 each round would advance ahead of someone who shoots -10 then -3. Anyway I don't think we're going to go with that as it would be more work than just a normal tournament. So can I put you in?

It would be based on your tour rounds, just for easy access to scores and so the players don't have to commit to anything more. The only criteria you need to meet is to be a CC player by the start of Week 16.

Going forward, I’m really hoping more courses like Kass Mountain get picked for the tour. I just wish there was more lag, more trees thrown into the middle of the fairways, and more split fairways. 👎🏻👎🏻 Coming from the guy who designed Lochlan Bay and Lake Marie, that says a lot, ryanmcconnell. Every course of yours that I've played has been an instant favorite. The Dunes at Lake Marie is spectacular from eye candy to challenge and playability. I think it's your best work. But to your point, I've really had enough of courses like Kass Mountain.

The Rangers must have taken the day off when they approved this piece of garbage. Wow!! I’m not even gonna bother finishing this. How did this course get approval? Seriously. See ya next week

The Rangers must have taken the day off when they approved this piece of garbage. Wow!! I’m not even gonna bother finishing this. How did this course get approval? Seriously. See ya next week There is no doubt that Kass Mountain is a challenging, punishing course that asks a lot out of players. It requires patience, thought, accuracy and shot making. It is almost assuredly the most difficult course that will appear on the CC-Am schedule. While some players may not care for an overly challenging course, and some players may not care for the fantasy-style of course, the course is far from a "piece of garbage." Again, we aren't expecting everyone to like the course, but when you resort to insulting the schedulers, rangers and designers without offering even an ounce of constructive criticism, you are not helping us hone in on the best set of challenges. This course was selected in response to the feedback that CC-Am players would like to be challenged on PGA-level courses on occasion. Dan and I both have played multiple rounds on this course and felt it played fair, even if misses were severely punished. We decided to run with this course during a week with a promotion event so that, in the case where the course wasn't your cup of tea, there was another meaningful event to play. Next week we're back to a more traditional layout, although you're playing from the tips. It'll be a good chance to measure yourselves against CC-Pro which is playing the identical course/conditions.

I gave round two a chance. 18 is the worst hole I’ve ever played in this game. @ me

This course was selected in response to the feedback that CC-Am players would like to be challenged on PGA-level courses on occasion. While I appreciate the effort to appease my calls for tougher courses, you've pissed on your own chips by insisting on 144 green speeds on soft greens in round 3. It's a complete waste of time.

As we've discussed before, since week 5*, we have not used "Slow" or "Very Slow" even once. We have used "Moderate" six times (44 rounds).
I get that you, personally, dislike moderate greens. That isn't going to stop us from using them on occasion. We are looking to identify the best players across a multitude of course styles and conditions, over the entire season.
*Note: Week 5 is the first week for which scheduling was done after HB made significant gameplay adjustments affecting flight path, spin and roll-out. If it seems the week-5 cut off for the above analysis seems arbitrary, this is the reason for that distinction.
As another side note, slowing the green speed down isn't something we do arbitrarily. Usually, doing so is in response to a ranger reporting a small amount of excessive slope close to the pin. Slowing the green speed down helps mitigate the effects so that missed putts don't roll too far away. We don't have to go back to the designer to request a republish.

I'm a new F'er, moved up from G last week. Have been on vacation and just found out I won last week and now moved up this morning. Glad to be here! Tried the new event this morning, and I am so glad to see everyone else have similar responses to me. Thought it was just because I hadn't played in a few days, but I had a tin cup moment. Couldn't play a shot and hit it in the water like 6 times. Didn't even finish round 1. May go back and try and finish if time allows, if not then oh well. I won't miss much.

For me it wasn't that the course was too hard, I enjoyed the challenge even though I turned in some terrible rounds, but it was the stuttering/lagging and low frame rate that made this week nearly unplayable on Xbox. More times than I could count it would lag or freeze in the middle of a swing, and you can guess what happens next on a course that is so tight.

The ball would freeze in mid air or my swing would freeze. I thought it was the server but it seems to only do it on Kass Mountain.

So I let myself cool off from that rd.1 debacle and decided if I’m going to get a demotion strike I will earn the damn thing Had a much better round ( still think the course is a joke though ) and shot a -3. So I’m +9 heading into rd 3. Good to know I’m going on to slow greens so I can prepare for those 144’s.
