Finished The FedEx Express at -23. Missed a promotion mark by one stroke.
That's an exceptionally good week for me. Probably was as close to getting a promotion mark as I'll be for a long time.
Kudos to everyone who *did* get a promotion mark; well done!

Kudos to everyone who *did* get a promotion mark; well done! You mean you missed the fast track promotion jeffbdvs, not a promo mark but an immediate promotion to the next tour. The question is being asked what the frequency is for the fast track promotions: tgctours.proboards.com/thread/17246/fast-track-promotions-first-time?page=1&scrollTo=389600

Struggling with the greens again, 32 putts for each round. Could have been much better were it not for hitting the water two holes in a row in R1. Question now is do I switch down to Pro clubs for the next round or not? Very tempted as approaches are all over the place - GiR in R1 was only 77% and not much better in R2. Need to be landing closer to the hole to get the putting average down.
R1: 72 (E) R2: 70 (-2)

Thanks for the post. I had no idea there was such a thing as a "fast track". I thought we still had to grind out the promotions by finishing in the top 20 each week. Last week, -24 (one stroke better than my score) would have put me in the top 20 here in F-Troop.

I played the last tournament with Pro clubs. My first two rounds were great. In R2 I shot a -9 with a HN1 on 14. My last 2 rounds were terrible. I decided if I am going to play bad I might as well go back to Master clubs. It was nice being close to the top for a short time lol. I am on XB and hoping the new patch improves the swing for everyone with master clubs on all platforms. I finished Pelion Marsh at -8 overall. I just couldn't get anything going. I would make some birdies then give them back. But as always I try to have fun lol. I will give your course a go shortly! Wade

I just finished playing Earl Harald's Folly. What a well thought out and beautiful course. I finished at -5 with 7 birdies and bogies on 15 and 16. I really liked the design of the course. The greens were great for my putting! That saved me more than a few times! Overall it is very nicely done. Thank you for creating it! I hope more F-rs will give it a try! Wade

On my way downstairs to fire up rounds 1&2. We’ll see after that. I’ll have to give next week a miss, though. And I suspect Christmas week will be a week off for everyone.

Per Doyley: Fast track is a weekly thing on ccam. But I think it only just started.

Rd 2 never got it going. Birdie on 2 was negated by careless bogeys on 4,5 and 9. +2 at the turn.
Back started birdie-bogey-birdie, thinking I could do something down the stretch. Birdies on 16 and 18 saved the round from disappointment to meh. -3 on the back, -1 finish.
-10 thru 36 is pretty good IMO, but after the first round I had....feels like a lost opportunity. Time to regroup!
Onward!

Not to worry, Art. Still a good 2 rounds.
R1: Couple birdies, one bogey. Meh. Finish -1 R2: Great start: -6 through 7, including back-to-back eagles on 6 and 7. But a crap finish with back-to-back bogeys on 8 and 9 due to missed GIRs. Birdied 3 out of the first 4 holes on the back nine to get my mojo back, but frittered away a potentially good round with back-to-back 3-putt bogeys on 16 and 17.
From the heights of elation to the depths of frustration in nine short holes. Seems like a pretty good golf sim to me!
-5 through 36. Have to squint to see Art and Wade way up above me on the leaderboard. I think the curvature of the Earth is blocking my view of the leaders.

Curvature of the earth.... jeffbdvs, allow me to introduce you to Kyrie. He's got some ideas about that.

Kudos to everyone who *did* get a promotion mark; well done! There’s a tab at the bar on me from last week Jeff. Whatever you want man. Nice shooting there. Totally forgot to put up last week’s score here. It wasn’t very good that’s for sure.
