Not liking this course. No offense to the designer, it's a good course, but not working for me this week, my game is in the toilet. I'm quitting mid-2nd-round, will take the demotion mark this week. Ugh. Heh, Ardoilean is a whole DAM collaboration so you have like 4 guys to blame

This is my scorecard for the first two rounds, pretty much all over the place with my only consistent scores being on the 1st and 4th holes. My best scores are the first and last holes and my worst is the 10th. I'm enjoying this course regardless of what my scorecard suggests.

Ugh. Ouch, looks like i picked a good tournament to have a week off! Sounds like this course brings out the worst in everyone’s games. (also - you probably know this, but just in case - i think a withdrawl gets you 2 demotion marks)

Let's get some green and yellow on that scorecard
Bob was in an optimistic mood which is a rare occurrence, I'm hoping it runs off on me. There was nothing of note from the first 2 holes, on the 3rd an approach shot into the bunker left me with a flop shot which found it's way into the hole for eagle. Another couple of birdies on the 6th and 7th had me at -4 through the front 9 and ready to take a few strokes off my score.
Then disaster struck again on the 10th hole where I'm +4 on the hole, and it carried over to 11 and 12 and my score was whittled down to -1. Back to back birdies on 13 and 14 plus another on the 16th clawed me back to -4. A bogey on the 17th then a birdie on good old 18 where I'm -4 so far got me back in at -4 and -13 after 3.
Bob suggested I work on my approaches as my GIR's dipped to 66.7%, and noted my perfect putting within 10ft.

I have -34 for the week. The decomposition is -5, -9, -12, -8. Played my first round right after having had some days off. Should have practiced first in order to get myself back into the game.

Welp, that's my first ever rage quit. I can't putt anymore and I don't know why, it's gotten worse every week. It's too frustrating to be unable to make an 8 foot putt, repeatedly. This is my first ever WD most likely, unless I can find some well of patience to finish this godawful round. Going to have to take a break from CCB play for a while. I'm broken and miserable for choking away my #1 money list ranking, which really did mean something to me. Good luck fellow CC-B friends. I'm not sure if the money list ranking should be that important. To me, it rather shows that you play kind of well but fail to get the promotion marks needed to move up in due time. At least that is the case for me. I am ranked 5th as a result of consistently making the top 50 in tournaments without earning some promo marks. So, I consider myself to be among the best that aren't good enough.

Get up, let's go
Bob shook me awake and told me he managed to get me an earlier tee off time. Bleary eyed I took to the first and parred it but back to back bogies on the next 2 holes which had me rummaging around bushes for my next shot. Apparently it was too early for my chip shots as well as I carded a triple bogey on the 7th, strangely Bob had disappeared at that moment.
I finally made it through the 10th without dropping a shot but went double bogey, bogey on 11 and 12 to go +8. The 13th provided a slight glimpse of success as I putted for eagle then picked up birdie on the 15th. But another double bogey on the 17th reminded me of my current form, before a birdie on the 18th seen my round of +6 brought to an end.
I received a text from Bob saying he had put a bet on with some pikeys, who'll be looking to collect when their man has finished his round. I made my excuses and decided to catch up with Bob on the next flight to Texas for the Gainesville Open at Snake Creek. I'm sure a demotion mark or 2 will be waiting instead of sweet Marie at Amarillo.

CC-B is exactly where I belong, and being among the best of the CC-B crowd was my goal from the beginning of the season.

I’m personally aiming to finish the season with more CC-B eagles than anyone else. Currently topping the list 😀

OK i sat down last night to speed golf through my rounds, with the intention of just trying to avoid double demotion marks. Final stats for this nightmare tourney: -21 70 73 61 63 267 30 and 32 putts in those first two rounds. absolutely the most frustrating rounds ive played on this game in years. Just 25 putts in round 3, but I holed out my approach from the fairway on 1, so that's more like 26 or 27 without the luck. Looks like this might just barely get me out of demotion mark range. Maybe.

Finished up at -29. Just a horrible course for me. The putter went cold over the weekend but I don’t care because I’m just happy to avoid the demo marks this week. Literally such a brutal course. Fair play to you boys at the top this week.
