The layout is odd compared to the one I played, but the holes are spot on. Yip, it's the layout that was used for the 2009 Aussie Masters. They changed the routing significantly for that tournament and included the 19th hole which played as the 2nd. At some point I will release a members addition that has the hole routing you would have been expecting. Should have already done that by now, but I moved onto newer more exciting projects

At some point I will release a members addition that has the hole routing you would have been expecting. Should have already done that by now, but I moved onto newer more exciting projects It’s kind of the same layout in that it uses 19 instead of 10, however Heatherton Kings routing is 1,19,2-18 while the routing used for the 2009 Aus Masters was 7-9,11,2-6,1,19,12-18. I really enjoyed the course by the way. The layout, hole/green shaping and bunker placement & shaping are all excellent as well as the default firm & fast conditions. Only minor critiques would be that some of the bunkering seems quite shallow compared to what is really there and a bit of undulation stuff. KH is a pretty flat property, but there is a ridge which runs through it from the western edge to the south eastern corner and creates the blind approach on 17, blind tee shots on 8, 9 & 16, the tricky elevation change on 15 and the blind approach to 14 that I would have loved to have seen captured a little more prominently on this one. Still, definitely got it marked for some future play.

I'm going to do a members version with slower green speeds and the standard routing. I'll add the ridge in for that. Is this where it is? How wide (about the width of 15 green I take it)?

I think it’s probably a little wider and not quite as straight, but that’s a pretty decent effort. I’ve only played it probably 7-8 times, plus a few days watching tournaments there, so my recall is far from perfect.
I think it turns more southward around 15/16. As a result, the left part of the start of the 16th fairway is higher than the right (and from memory, none of that fairway is visible from the tee). The 15th almost runs straight along it (albeit uphill) and the green there is quite a bit higher than the 14th fairway. That portion of the 14th fairway between the 15th green & tee has a decent right to left slope on it and it’s sightly downhill all the way to the green from there.

Enjoyed it, thank you!
I used to do a bit of golf writing while running an experiential travel start-up, and the Australian courses were a pleasant surprise to discover and profile. Kingston Heath, Tom Doak's Gunnamatta at The National, Metropolitan, and others in addition to Royal Melbourne, of course.
Even Western Australia, with cool courses like The Cut, has some fun-looking courses.

Was a very windy day but I did manage to par 17 and 18. Happy days

Got a chance to actually play some golf and this was at the top of my list. Loved it. I've played Kingston Heath a few times and been to Aus Masters and Open tournaments there and from what I recall, you've done a great job with the recreation. Clubhouse and everything was really done well. My favourite hole is 15 and of course I only just went a couple of feet past the pin (3) only to roll down the back of that steep runoff. Will remember for next time. Well done @energ1zer - please publish as Kingston Heath when you get the chance to make your intended changes. Needs to be in the game.
