Will Q-School have the wind speed displayed? And while I do play with Master clubs, I will probably be using beginner clubs on the last round. This is to ensure I qualify no higher than CC-A. I simply cannot compete without the wind speed. I know, I know, you don't have it on a real course. Well, guess what? This is NOT real golf. In real golf, I can feel the wind in my face. It's just a bit different than looking at a gauge. Wait, I take that back; it's a LOT different than looking at a gauge. You get a feel for it. Sure, I guess I could get a feel for the gauge, but it's just not very fun (to me). And that's why we're here; to have fun. Personally, I think eliminating the actual speed is kind of ridiculous. I've seen the scores on the exhibition event and they look just about the same as TGC 2 scores. Maybe a bit higher (total strokes), but nowhere near like real golf. I could see eliminating the actual wind speed for the PGA tour tier, but for everyone else? Please. People are going to get unrealistically low scores no matter what you do. It's a video game. I isn't (and can't be with aids on) real golf. You want realistic scores, go to the True Sim Tour. I may be wrong, but I think wind speed will be off for PGA only, not Euro or web.com

Question is which club combination to carry in my Sand Bag...ooops Golf Bag. I use 2 or 3 different combinations but can't decide which one will work best over 4 rounds at Bedes because the wind can torture you there if you have the wrong long clubs in your Sand Bag...oops Golf Bag. Why do I keep typing Sand Bag whenever I talk about Q-School? Weird.

It's ironic that after all the post and arguments you've made about fairness and all, you'll sandbag your way into a lower level.

It's ironic that after all the post and arguments you've made about fairness and all, you'll sandbag your way into a lower level. So I'm supposed to play on the Web.com or by some freak of luck the Euro tour and never make the cut? What's the point of that? If I'm not making the cut, then I'm not good enough for that level no matter what my score in Q-School is. And with no wind speed displayed, I'm just not good enough to compete. This isn't opinion. I just posted a dismal score for the 3rd round of the Pro Exhibition (which had very high wind speed and no wind speed displayed). In a real event, that would have caused me to miss the cut. And you can expect high or very high winds at least 1 round per tournament. You might get the odd one now and then that doesn't have it, but most will for at least 1 round. So it's not sandbagging, it's ensuring I'm at the level I'm supposed to be at. Q-school having wind on is not representative of how the major leagues will play. And in response to zzfr33b1rdzz's question, I use Master Clubs because they give me much better control on the greens. But I might just go with Pro Clubs for Q-School. Then switch back to Master for the regular season.

The white circle literally "shows" you the wind. If you've played enough rounds, then it's pretty easy to decipher. It's literally a range. 0 is none and 24 is max. Dead middle is 12. A bit above that is 14-16 range. Below that is 6-9 range. You can work it from there. I know I'm not helping out, but that seems strange to me. You play Masters with the wind number on...what do you normally shoot? Just on average and not the odd crazy low/high round. Not having the wind speed has had absolutely ZERO affect on my actual shot making. Proximity to the hole is up, but hey, I think that's what they were after. That's a good thing. I was a middle of the WT shooter and even got a win. Don't really see that middle of the pack stuff changing just because they've decided to take a number away.
Just my 2 cents that aren't even worth that.

With Masters and the Wind speed displayed, I usually shoot 3 or 4 under to 3 or 4 over. Just good enough to go set, as they say in Bridge. Might get me on the Web.com tour, but won't allow me to make any cuts.

Here you go Kelly - problem solved. Would have taken you about 10 minutes to do this yourself via PRNT-SCRN and cut and paste in Paint.... No excuses now for you....
