Looks like fun! Excellent eye candy in the pics, which is completely not a surprise from you.

Looks like a cohesive, well-imagined design. Beautiful photos.

I am so excited to give this a run. I grew up in Eastern Colorado, not far from Holyoke and Ballyneal. Was lucky enough to get to play Ballyneal last Spring, and I can't wait to see what you have done with it.

Thanks for the kind words gents. Robyn, I'd love to hear how you think it stacks up against the real thing. I felt I needed to tone a lot of areas down a bit to make it playable in game, so it's probably a different animal than Ballyneal.

Played this twice now and it's great. I prefer the wide/open modern designs so this was right up my alley. Tough look to pull off, but I thought you did an excellent job. I look forward to a few more rounds on this track in the OG society.

Fantastic course Matt. Coming from a Colorado resident, I'm really glad you made this and touched it up for TGC'19. My brother-in-law is a member there. I had one opportunity to go play for a few days but couldn't make it work for my schedule. I'm sure there will be another chance in the future, but for now...this will suffice. Great job man!

This course is AMAZING, just had a bash on the CC Pro society, goes straight into my top 5 for TGC2019 The style is also basically a lumpier carbon copy of my local course, only thing missing is a few ponds, so that just added a whole extra layer of enjoyment to it.

Looking back, I had forgotten I had viewed this thread, but I clearly did since I liked some of the original posts.
But when I teed up for the first CC-Pro event, I said to myself "This is clearly a Matt Frisch course." Excellent work as always. I don't think there is anyone better at blending the course into the surrounding terrain.

Thanks for the kind words gents. Robyn, I'd love to hear how you think it stacks up against the real thing. I felt I needed to tone a lot of areas down a bit to make it playable in game, so it's probably a different animal than Ballyneal. Certainly a different animal than Ballyneal, but with the designer limitations and the need to make it playable you have done a great job.
Ballyneal is a very rugged course with steep bunker faces edged with tall grass, crazy elevation changes, and some very aggressive greens (that would likely be deemed #clownsmouth if they were done justice in this game). Anything off the green grass is bumpy, jagged, and populated with tall grass. The unique thing I really noticed about the course in the Spring was that there weren't many tee boxes, and no tee markers. I played with a member, and he would just tee it up next to the green somewhere for the next hole on many occasions. We had no yardage guide, and just 18 holes on a scorecard with no yardages. I also remember there were wooden pallets in some of the bunkers to protect the sand on the faces from the crazy winds of Northeastern Colorado. I assume that those would have been removed once the season fully started.
The thing that impresses me the most about Holyoke is how accurate the environment is. I felt like I was playing in Northeastern Colorado, and the golf course came to life in a video game. This is the first time I remember playing a golf game and truly feeling like I new exactly where I was.
Thanks for an awesome "Based On" golf course. I can't wait to check out the course based on Gozzer Ranch next.
