Yeah that's perfect. Not what I was thinking initially but definitely see the "sloppiness" Canuck pointed out in places. So in that last pic, no issue with the rough not going to the edge of the bunker and instead leaving the sand texture as a blending/transition then? It's probably a matter of personal preference, but it didn't stick out to me mainly because the entire bunker's wrapped in the bare ground/heavy rough texture. I will say, the next level move there is to fiddle with the heavy rough & bare ground textures blend together to add highlights to particular areas ... kind of like what you did the the planting behind the pot bunker in the middle of the 1st fairway.

Andre are you planning on finishing up your course reviews or are you going to move on now that the top 8 have been declared?

Mayday I’d like to see your notes since I’m out or as far as I’m aware I’m out.

With all the great courses and competition, I'm happy to see that I made it into the top 8. That truly was my goal when I signed up. So a definite win for me personally there. I'll enjoy it while I can as Muir Woods lurks. Tough match up for Ute Forrest there for sure. Sorry to those that didn't make the cut this time. It's been said time and time again, but there is a ton of talent in this competition and I was happy to compete with you guys. What's the timeline now for the next round ErixonStone ?

Andre are you planning on finishing up your course reviews or are you going to move on now that the top 8 have been declared? I still plan on finishing these.

We are hoping to have the quarterfinal results by Wednesday. If any matches are decided earlier, I'll post those results as they come in.

Congrats to the eight who made it to the quarterfinals and commiserations to the nine who didn't. Some tour-quality courses failed to make the cut and, as I've said multiple times, that's a testament to the quality of courses you guys put out. I can't remember who all said they wanted feedback but, if you are outside the top 8 and want to see my judging notes, please send me a PM. You'll get my hole-by-hole notes along with my overall assessment of your course. I would appreciate the feedback.

Andre are you planning on finishing up your course reviews or are you going to move on now that the top 8 have been declared? ErixonStone same question to you with the remaining courses without a review?

Judging from the way it played out last night... You don't want to see him review your course, hehe. When the 8th course came up on Twitch, it was obvious only the 9 left unreview were in... I expect a review shortly... Feel like the Forrest wins.

I did the bottom half first on purpose because, when those courses were officially cut, I wanted my feedback to already be posted to the completed course threads.
I'm going to get to all of them eventually, and I would like to pair courses that are matched up. Ideally, I would do Pelion Marsh, Maka Sichu and then Blunderbuss first, but time may not permit that.

I don't think I have three hours to read 5,000 words. Personally, I like the longer reviews as it typically provides details with examples. There is a huge difference in saying something needs improvement and actually getting to the specific problem that needs correction. My post was a reference to the amount of problems the judges would find with my course.

Will the nine who are eliminated have their positions published? I want to know if I beat Chris. Being English, I don't want to lose to an Australian in any kind of sporting contest.

FYI guys, my computer crashed and I lost all my notes from the first round, so I'm probably only going to be able to give feedback on the handful of courses I'm judging from this point onwards.
