You'd think playing a tournament on your own course would be an advantage.... apparently not. 64 - 67 - 65 - 65 for -27 is below my expectation (terrible putting and being too aggressive off the tee). Been seeing some reactions to the course, some good, some bad, either way its all going towards making me a better designer I'll admit I didn't expect this course to get into tournament play, so in saying that I wish I did change some pin positions slightly, they caught me out more than I'd like to admit haha. Seeing all the low scores I did wish it was played off the back tees, but I understand this ain't the PGA/World tour lol. Heaven forbid I get any demotions on my own course Absolutely love the course man. That one went into my favorites and I gave it 5 stars. Hope to see it again in 2019!

Round 4 was nearly magic for me - but it was a gem nonetheless. Shot 64 in round 3, had a great run on the front 9 that sorta petered out on the back. Opened round 4 with a bogey, and closed with a bogey...parring either would would have put me in the 50s. Instead, a 60 for my final round, pretty sure that's a tournament best for me. I eagled the par 4 10th, and then aced the par 3 11th! Putting was really good this round too, just a great round for me. Love the risk-reward choices, lots of crafty shortcuts and well placed bunkers. Every time I screwed up my aggressive shot, I was in a bunker. Honestly well done. Oh WOW! You certainly turned that start around, that was good to watch. That Eagle/HIO combo was pretty special. Best way to end the event for sure!

A few of my courses have been used on tour, and I've never played well on them. It's probably a mindset we have that we should do well just because it's our own golf course. I've received a strike both times I played my own course on tour, and I've blown up anytime I play one in society events. Frustrating for sure. I'm one stroke under the demotion line after the 3rd round, hope my 4th round saves me! Playing your own course in a tournament is a bit surreal, never have i ever checked he hole by hole stats as much as I have with this event haha!

From TGCTours? Or can you see casual or society stats also

Yeah as I suspected enough to stay up but I really should have had an exception this week. It wasn’t the birdies I missed it was the 2 double bogeys I had. No excuses for bogeys on this course. Needed to be smarter.

But somehow I weathered it - usually it means i'm going to have a stressful round! That 60 jumped me up to T9 - hoping for a top 10 finish!

There's no way to tell other than seeing lots of plays for my course stats.

Rd 4 and I blistered the front for a 28, courtesy of two iggles (one of which an unlikely 63 foot bomb of a putt on 3). Continued on the back with birdies on 10 and 11, but a fast downswing lead to a bogey on 12. Rebounded with another iggle on 13 but stalled after that. I bogeyed 18, leaving me +4 on that hole for the tourney (lucky I didn't have to play that hole more than four times!). -11 for the round, -37 for the event and sitting T5 at the moment. Gave it my best, came up short of a W. But looks like I will join CiB0RG and all his Spartyness on the Fonzie tour via an exemption! Let's see if I can make this one stick all the way to TGC2K19. Onward!
