I had a couple of nice rounds at Massara. Not sure if it was enough to win in this very deep field.

I had a couple of nice rounds at Massara. Not sure if it was enough to win in this very deep field. Small but top heavy, lol. I had a nice first round, and as usual lately, really struggled in the second round. I stopped after 13 holes in round 2 and came back another day and finished -3 on the last 5 holes. This is a lesson that I always forget, if I'm struggling I need to step away and come back later, because it usually means I am not focused. Side note, after next week it is US Open week. Should I Shinnecock it, or no? I assume most people will be playing it in some venue or another, so would that be overkill? I can always play it on my own and don't need to have it in the society.

I definitely should have done that on my Web.com round this morning. I hadn't played in several days and was +3 on the front nine. Should have stepped away but instead just slapped it around on the back for a lovely 81. Thankfully I'd already made the cut but I think I'll be finishing DFL in this one! kvandhave joined. Thanks for setting up. Not too many societies out there at the moment. Also like CLV’s courses so why not. Have donated a little which should help levelling up the society. Can’t take it with us to TGC2019 - and don’t change my clothes often (stinky Pete). DP.

There is still time to join and enter the first event. The 2 round Nordea Masters ends tonight. We have 3 events planned for next week. We are currently at level 6 society, thanks to the generous donation from Denzil Penberthy.

A Season 2 high of 8 players on PC as of this morning! EDIT: Make that 9 tonight. Either everyone likes mikemike's courses, or we are gaining momentum! Really though, gaining momentum heading into TGC 2019 is a good thing, and goes a long way towards establishing a stable society in the new game.

Just wanted to update you all on the next few events coming up for the Original Golfer Society.
With a little luck ( and hopefully more members) we look to will have our first major the second week of July. Until then:
- Next week: For US Open week we are looking to do two rounds at Shinnecock, on the members course.
- June 17-23: We will pay honor to The CLV24 by playing his newest course, Raynor Farms Municipal. While this won't be a major, we will look to do 3 rounds.
- June 24-30: Some of the PCers will be out for a couple of days, so another 2-rounder would work best to stay coordinated with their schedule. We will be more than liklely playing Potter Lake here, which is a course by one of our PC regulars, and a good course by any measure.
- July 1-7: Haven't picked a course yet, but would like to do another 2-rounder here, as a lot of people might be gone for the 4th of July
- July 8-14: This will be the major week. 3 rounds at Pitt Field Club.
Once this stretch is done, a couple more quick 1-rounders would work well.
