Putt For Dough week. Does anybody here know how to make a course for this level of play? The 12th hole is an absolute abomination. The margin for error on the tee shot, with no wind, is minuscule. The precision then needed to get it out of either bunker and not land in the other bunker on the other side is World caliber. By a miracle, I managed a 6 on the hole. Really, WTF is wrong with you designers? Are you so @!$#ing sadistic that you have to come up with the most evil, diabolical holes you can think of? One hole, I land dead smack in the middle of the fairway and the ball still rolls right and then down and then into a bunker. Seriously? With the advent of the new game and the more difficult swing mechanic, we were supposed to be getting away from these tricked up @!$#ed up courses. But it's still the same sh%$ over and over and over and over. Is HB ever going to make a game hard enough for you designers that we can actually FINALLY get a normal course to play on? FFS Here's an experiment to try : CC-Am is supposed to be a learning ground for the next level up. So, go and have a play through of the CC-Pro course for this week, Holland Park (CC) and let me know what you think of the two course choices, and the reasoning for them being chosen. Because I'll tell you, I can't understand it. Holland Park is a beautiful course, it doesn't have any tricked up greens at all. It is for all intents and purposes ideal for CC-Am. As was Ravenswood a few weeks back, and others. Yet they aren't scheduled for the likes of us. [/quote] Believe me, I don't have to. I know how screwed up the scheduling is. That 12th hole is one of the WORST holes I have ever played IN MY LIFE. And I have played some miserable holes but this one is beyond a joke. And yes, I CAN do better. I can at least make a course for CC-AM that won't make the players want to pull their hair out of their head.

Personally, I’m awful at course design, so good on you.

I'm with IGolfBad here, I look forward to playing this course you're going to design. Because the design community is just full of angry, mean-spirited people who donate hundreds of hours of their free time to build things specifically to annoy you. And we're all just terrible at it apparently.

FFS I managed to shoot a 67 in round 1 and I am in CC-Z And didn't you just say you were done with this game...like every post for the last year? If you don't like it there are a lot of options out there to entertain you. Why get so angry over a GAME? And as far as I am concerned, these designers put a hell of a lot of work into these courses and most of them are brilliant!

I played a speed round with pin set 1, and finished under par as well. There is a drivable Par 4 on the front which I eagled, and while the par 3 #12 has a difficult pin placement, I barely missed the green to the right, stopping on the fringe, and made a very flat 8 foot putt for birdie.
Seems to me everyone wants to grip it and rip it, but this course makes you have to think about club selection, where clubbing down is often the best choice, as lightning fast as those fairways are, especially with no light rough borders.
The great thing about these tours is everybody has to play the same courses and set ups. So, naysayers, either work at getting better or stop playing. The only reason I’ve gotten as decent (not great) as I have is I struggled on courses like these, then went to work on figuring out how to play each hole. If you want a walk in the park, I’m sure the admins can create a sub-Z flight called “CC-Little Brook Manor”. Hell, I’ll even host it every week.

Happy with my first round after finishing Q-School. Probably my best round since getting the game a week ago. +5 with 6 birdies, Less bogies than normal but a +4 at 1 and +3 at 17 were the disaster holes. Really enjoyed the course, some very difficult greens and I think my conservative approach helped me quite a bit.

Nope, was wondering the same thing, although I’m not sure if they’ve finalized the event yet... they typically send the emails out on Sunday night when everything is finalized.

Gee, Wagtunes is still around moaning about this game. What happened to disappearing so that we wouldn't have to put up with you anymore?

I will just remind everyone that this week's event is a major, and the course selected is intentionally more challenging than the average CC-Am course.
However, everyone is playing the same course in similar wind, so how you manage the course and execute shots are still going to be the keys to scoring well.
