Here are 4 more. Will try to get to the others tonight
Whitelake River - 23 pts (Very nice but needs more planting around the holes) Cape Primrose - 21 pts (spelled name of course wrong making it hard to find, really tough lighting to play in) Blackhazel - 20 pts (nice course but no light rough - grrr) Blackrock - 20 pts (another nice course but only one tee set and no light rough - grrr)
The heavy rough in this game is completely over-penal. You could roll a few inches into it from the FW and have a 60% lie. For that reason alone, there has to be light rough.

Clean, very playable, and well planted. The lighting is just too harsh for my tastes. It makes the entire course just so dark, and makes it tough to see the hole unless you're right next to it, or put the flag in. I've played all but three of these now so I'm having trouble remembering the details of each one except for the tiny notes I jotted down. Honestly, there's not a "bad" course in all of these. Just varying degrees of "good."

Everyone is, obviously, entitled to his or her own opinion, but there are three excellent courses with zero votes. Whitelake, Archangel Dunes, and mine - Ocean Course at Calla Lily. I'm not saying any of these is the best course, but out of several people voting, I would have thought these would get at least one vote each.... Things that make you go hmmmmmm

My completely uninformed and unofficial Top 10 Results are: (I did include myself but I have myself as 11th on this list so I gotta step it up next comp and do something big. Also as an aside I really enjoyed the Queen of the Meadow course and have it 12th. Felt it deserved a mention. There were some good courses in the rest of the mix too but just not as polished as the top 10 here. 1. Jasmine Hills 2. Chillingwood (I believe these two to be a clear cut top 2 and would probably flip flip depending on the day. I saw alot of Scarpacci in Jives course and I think that pushes me over the top here. Jeremy Mayo is an incredible designer and Chillingwood shows that.) 3. Redbrook (Surprised by this one. Great course, clean and maybe the best atmosphere in competition with Chillingwood or Simon's Red River Valley.) 4. Blackhazel (Great strides by this designer, sculpting could still use work) 5. Cape Primrose (Some great Highlands courses in this one, I thought this was the best) 6. Red River Valley (Good work S.A.M., I thought the sculpting and brush work was much improved, some other courses just stuck out more to me on this one.) 7. Bellflower (No idea who this designer was going in, came away impressed with the course. Wasn't a huge fan of the bunker style but it was consistent and that's all that matters) 8. Whitelake (No real notes that stick out to me. A good Adam Hill course that just wasn't as strong to me as the others.) 9. San Agustin (I did not like your choice of fairway, but the planting and sculpting was great. No real complaints here Pablo) 10. Lantana - (Pretty, I just felt it could have been cleaner in the sculpting department) Thanks Seth, I'll take being No. 2 on that list any day. Hope to chime in with some thoughts about the others later but, TBH, besides Lantana, I haven't had a chance to play any of them yet ... Was so locked in on getting the other 9 at Chillingwood done and then have been slammed at work the last couple of days. Do need to give a s/o to welikeitroughnc for giving me some suggestions on the rock work, especially on the Cape hole (Hole 6 on the Hotel 9, 14 on the full 18). Wasn't really feeling it with how I was doing it and the suggestions he gave seemed to click there. Thanks, Mitch! Also need to give @komorebi props for setting this up. Was really in a design rut prior to this contest and this seemed to help me snap out of it and get the creative juices going again.

Here's the last four's scores.
Bellflower - 21 pts (nice course, needs more polish) Cordova - 21 pts (another nice course - some lag) Choral - 21 pts (pretty nice course - needs some more flair) Redbrook - 23 pts (excellent course - greens a little too flat and maybe a tad too hazy)
So, for me, the top 5 are
1. Chillingwood 2. Desert Rose 3. Redbrook 4. Cape Primrose 5. Winter Jasmine
Voting now. Good job everyone!

The idea of Blackrock County was to make very short par 4's, as if it was old hickory course; as if modern drivers now deem it easy but it was once a full length golf course. You can go for the green in one but it is a big risk. I'm trying to get you to play the course with irons off the tee, which is why there is no rough, just grass then desert, a 'they wouldn't have been cutting light rough 150 years ago' kind of thing. It adds to the challenge of missing with an iron in your hand. I wanted the holes to play heroic, penal and strategic all in one.
If I'm honest it wasn't quite as fun to play as I had envisioned. Not sure the wild west theme really worked either. A little bit far fetched. Still I hope you can give me points for my attempts at: a mine, a grave, a gulch, a tepee, a labyrinth, a fireplace, oil well, saloon, corral, traintrack, wagons, and the stars and stripes and Scottish flags.. It was a lot of effort however bad some of it is
