Welcome to the VctryLnSprts Designer Tutorials for Beginners (Live!) thread, where I'll post a schedule of live Twitch interactive tutorials for anyone looking to try the course designer software in TGC2 for the first time, or newer designers looking to pick up tips and tricks from others as they work on their first projects.
As many people have brought up in this thread (http://tgctours.proboards.com/thread/13693/beginning-designer-tutorials), and rightfully so, there are phenomenal tutorials that already exist on YouTube from accomplished designers like scarpacci , Crazycanuck1985 , scampi00 , @griff , tastegw , and others. In my opinion, if you have the time to watch all of those, you definitely should, because we all do things a bit differently and you’ll pick up things to try from these great designers no matter which ones you watch. They’re all very, very good! I'm not looking to re-invent the wheel here, I'm looking to offer a unique experience for newer designers.
So why would my series be helpful and why would a new designer watch?
The first reason is because, like those guys, I may do things differently and there may be techniques you find beneficial based on how I use the tools and what thought processes I employ in my designs. No single one of us is "right" in the way we accomplish the end result, but by seeing each way something can be done, you may find a mixture of techniques to incorporate into your own process when designing.
However, what I see as the main reason people may want to watch is because I am going to schedule these tutorials on Twitch so that they are live and interactive! Anybody who is a new designer or is thinking about designing a course for the first time can jump on to watch, ask questions, and get involved in the chat in real time!
So that's it, if you're interested, check back often in the OP for an updated schedule, we'd be glad to have you join us!

**Disclaimer** - My only request of the community is to remember that this is a tutorial series about how I do things, so if you're an experienced designer you are welcome to join the conversation, but I want to cater specifically to all of those people who are interested in jumping into the course designer software for the first time or are new to the process. My way of doing things isn't the "right" way or the "only" way, but I will be teaching the approach I take, so it would be best if the conversation wasn't hijacked into rabbit trails of "well this person does it this way" and "that person prefers to do this." As I said above, there are GREAT tutorials out there from very good designers, and I think people SHOULD watch those too. But allow me to share with the community what my approach is just in case somebody finds a new technique or thought process helpful. Thank you!
