Pardon the noob question, but what game settings are allowed in Q-School?
I'm coming from a TW13 and Rory PGA background on the PS3 and PS4, and I played there with all (and I mean all) aids turned off. In the few rounds I've played on TGC2, I've turned off the green grid, but I've left the lie grid and wind meter at their default settings. I'm using the Player club set. I also use the scout cam and the putting and approach cameras, but I had those turned off in the EA golf games.
No aids is how I want to learn the game, but I'm afraid I'll be at a disadvantage on tour if all the other players are using all their aids.
Ultimately I'd like to get to the point where I play TST-level golf in TGC2.
Cheers, Jeff

jeffbdvsThere is a dedicated True Sim (TST) tour here at TGCTours that does not require any Q School at all. All you have to do over on the main site (tgctours.com) is to Hover or click on the 'Other Tours' tab. Under that you will see 'Signup'. Go through that process and you can play on the True Sim Tour. You can play your TST career only, play both TST and the main tours, or switch it up however you'd like each week. Tournament settings are preset for each event. All the other tours have all the help turned on, and are tiered one on top of the other (10 in total, but you can be a member of only one at a time... working your way up/down throughout your career). Q School is required to place you into an appropriate tour. If you wish to play with some or all aids turned off, then you would be playing at a disadvantage to others, but if you enjoy it on top of a TST career playing this way, then it is your prerogative. Any setting(s) you turn off will stay turned off for just you. There are some players that do play the main tours with various settings turned off. Good luck, and many birdies to you!
